OREGON to the B1G

I'll laugh my ass off if you end up being right.

This could be as simple as the B1G offering 35mm a year and reports have put the range at 40mm (which the top fits into the partial revenue frame) and both OU and UW have asked for the max due to traveling costs. Honestly, if the B1G can do 40mm then they should because it is going to be tough enough at the reduced rate. I doubt this is some flex or hard negotiation but an intelligent request for a fair wage that is in budget.

Stanford is great at a lot of olympic sports. It's pretty much what defined the PAC and made them unique. What other, lesser conference is going to offer the same types of competition?

College basketball is pretty much an afterthought in this whole process, so any other sport, from baseball to women's field hockey pretty much is too.

At the end of the day, TBH, I really don't think Stanford cares. Their endowment is like double the Big 12 schools combined.

I get Stanford has a sports tradition, but I mean, we're talking money right?

This thread got my excitement for an OD meltdown all going if Oregon stayed in PAC and now maybe we won’t get that. Disappointing

Let's be honest. If Oregon goes to the B1G, the number of meltdowns will increase. It'll be the gift that keeps on giving.

Nope, we're talking ACADEMICS AND TRADITION! Nothing to do with filthy money at all!

Longest episode of Soap Opera Week I have ever heard about.

IF the PAC folds, I can't see Stanford getting on their hands and knees begging some midwestern conference to let them play football with them.

Cal probably doesn't care either.

WSU and OSU were lucky to be in the PAC to begin with.

So now they are rumoring that UW was in favor and Oregon was holding out and now leaning back the other way.

I can't take any of these at face value. Lots of moving parts and self serving agendas.

Best to just eat some popcorn and wait for the dust to settle.
