Again, it is the selection order that matters and if that quote for some reason was inaccurate, the details will come out. From Wilner to clown-zano to lots of local and regional media, the order will be widely talked about. No one would have to pay out a bet that wasn't clear.

I think that since the Pac has good teams top to bottom, they will never have a elite team that the Big 10 or SEC have year in and year out because those respective conferences have dud teams that get beat up year in and year out.

The Pac never sees the same team year after year be a basement dweller.
 
I’ll do an avatar bet through the bowl season but not until next season. I don’t trust old guys in suits in a room full of poinsettias

Again, the measure is how they do against the other conferences. Having even more bottom feeders than Colorado this year wouldn't change that. You are talking about bumps to their ranking while I'm talking about what they end up doing head to head.

Beat other quality teams from the other P5's and you get respect. Lose them and the rest of the country laughs at you. Pac hasn't had any teams that can consistently win against those higher teams in quite a while.

That impacts recruiting and these days the desirability for kids in the portal to pick your school over others. That further compounds the problem.

Fine. Here's terms that seem fair to me, Let me know if they don't work for you.

The Alamo Bowl is the clear #2 after the Rose/playoff bowl, so we can just go with whoever gets NY6, BCS, non playoff playoff bowl, whatever you want to call it, then Alamo. If neither team gets any of that we can call it a draw, wear the avatar through the national title game. Yes?

Rose Bowl: Utah
Cotton Bowl: USC
Sun Bowl: UCLA
Alamo Bowl: Washington
Holiday Bowl: Oregon
Las Vegas Bowl: Oregon St.
Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl: Wazzou
 
i just noticed that the Pac-12 has six teams ranked in the Top 25

Lol - they have won more than SC this past decade. If winning 3 Rose Bowls and a Playoff game is nothing, then go ahead you be you.
