Said reporter is limited to one or two questions. He/She is going to ask Nix about himself or Nix's thoughts about the team in general.

The coaches will get grilled on it. Particularly the ones from teams with options outside the PAC. Obviously GK will get grilled. The players will get asked Something.

But using the players not getting grilled as proof that this won’t be a huge topic is complete BS and is exactly what OlyDave is trying to argue.

why would the coaches get questioned? they dont make those decisions either.
GK is the only one i expect would get grilled on it.

I agree with the Duck fans that asking the players about tv deals would be pretty stupid.

But, there are a lot of stupid reporters, so I don't have their confidence that none of them will ask.

Because the conference dynamics are changing in a big way and potentially more to come. They'll be there a lot longer than the players will be.

Because it’s the elephant in the room. Because it’s the biggest topic here. Because it’s a story.

This really isn’t that tough, you can continue to be this naive. That’s not going to stop reporters from asking anyone about this.

It’s the biggest story here. For Everyone in the PAC. I’m not saying every single question to the players will be this. But expecting it to just be one question and done to everyone is pure nonsense. Also ignoring how GK is going to get crushed with it is humorous.

I hope they get a media deal done to avoid most Of this, but as it stands right now the PAC has less then a year left on their media deal.

I think you're overplaying it a bit as far as players and coaches are concerned.

Even if they're talking to players who will be back, those players are likely to know less about tv deals, etc. than the reporter asking the question does. Same with the coaches. Those are AD, school President and league commissioner questions.

I think there's a good chance they get asked because, as I said, reporters ask stupid questions all the time.

But I think/hope that those questions would be more of the "Do you think it will be a distraction?" variety and not as big a topic as you're trying to claim.

We’ll just agree to disagree.

They have a media deal for less then a year and they went to negotiate for new one almost a year ago.

You guys pivoting to the players is fine but they are not the only people answering questions. Pretending the coaches are only going to be asked one question on this, particularly with schools that seem to have an out is humorous.

Bottom line is it’s going to be a distraction it shouldn’t have to be. I sincerely hope I’m wrong and these reporter dont distract all out from what the real purpose is.

Why are you moving the goalposts? The whole discussion has been about players and coaches getting asked. The only one pivoting is you. Everyone seems to agree that the Commissioner will get grilled and if any AD's are available, so will they.

The push back is about how much the players and coaches will be asked. The Duck fans seem to think they won't get asked at all, I think they may get asked about it being a distraction and you seem to think players and coaches will get asked about it a lot.

Guess we will find out on media day.
