GAME Playoff Selection Show thread (11 am cst ESPN)

LOL@ Miami not getting in. They didn't deserve it. Now looking forward to someone ass blasting ND

Lol @ still pretending that Bama didn't get in because of their OOC schedule.

SMU played a tougher OOC opponent than Bama, they lost, if SMU had scheduled Mercer instead of BYU this would not even be a debate.
What does that tell you about the ACC and SMU's schedule if SMU's toughest game was BYU?

I'm not saying Bama didn't get in because of their OOC -- I'm saying ALL TEAMS in the B1G and SEC going forward will not go out of their way to schedule any opponent of substance in the OOC. Why would they? They mean nothing.

I said last year once these super conferences started -- teams would stop scheduling
tough OOC games and I was told I was crazy. The decision by the CFP committee to reward teams with the 60th ranked schedule and 2 losses to the only two ranked teams they played or the 43rd ranked schedule and they got blowout by the only ranked team they played.

It will be the end of big time games in OOC. Just win your conference games. That's all that matters.

SMU lost to the weakest team (by far).

Also, if Notre Dame is dissatisfied with the current arrangement, they are welcome to opt-out.
ND is a joke. They clearly receive special treatment. Not in a conference, play a weak assed schedule.

No one deny this.

I almost feel like SMU should have been kept out solely for letting Clemson back in, but they've been such a good story I'm happy they are in despite the loss.

Yeah, they might get their doors blown off in the opener, but so may several other teams.
Like St Dame?

Bama didn't win their conference games against mediocre at best 6-6 teams. That's why they are out.

ND is what happens when the ACC and Big East have a one night stand

I don't think SMU is going to get their doors blown off because they got matched up against a James Franklin coached team. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they win.

I don't have to. Michigan played Texas, Oregon and Ohio. Texas was the most impressive team between the 3 of them.

I think the title game comes down to Texas, Oregon and Georgia. 2 of those 3 teams will face each other.

Georgia got the best draw, by a landslide. If I were Oregon, I'd be pissed. Oregon could have to face Ohio and then Texas just to get to the final.

While Georgia has who? Penn State😂
I detect no lies. If Beck were healthy I'd feel really good about the 3rd NC. Still think we have a shot with the easiest side of the bracket by a long shot. No UTjr, tOSU, Texas, Clemson, or Oregon.

Not to mention that so long as we keep winning we play inside in NOLA, Miami, then Atlanta. No cold weather games. LOL. Natty of a platter.

This is grogeous:

I think Georgia clearly has the best defense, good enough to dominate anyone on any given day. Ohio State is capable of being better than Oregon as well. These are the teams I see with a real chance of beating them and Vegas agrees with me.

Actually they dont agree with you. You’re wrong. Oregon is the betting favorite at +325.

Fair enough on your opinion that Georgia and Ohio State are better than or at minimum equal to Oregon.

I’ll counter that with look at every outcome for those three teams and compare them. The actual results on the field do not support your opinion, not even close actually.
