Poor Oregon

@WhosYourDawggy and I and I’m sure others on here have searched and haven’t found a case where a GOR has been broken. The theory is there to do so and I guess it CAN be done but it’s just not worth the time and money that the departing party has to put out.
Keep in mind that grants of rights agreements have been used forever in other industries like music. They’re very simple agreements, and unless you can find some sort of imbalance in the negotiating process, they’re virtually impossible to get out of. The people here who signed the grants of rights are very sophisticated parties with a ton of lawyers who reviewed the agreement. It’s just impossible to break it. And the cost to buy out of it is just prohibitive.

I agree 100%, but then aside from ND realignment should be done for the foreseeable future if not longer. But we both know that's probably not it. It's a question I've asked in another thread, if ND is the only school that adds per team, why would the P2 expand past them? Regardless of odd number members.
It seems the big money draws are willing to subsidize SOME in order to have fodder. Only reason I can think of.

Then using the excuse they don’t bring enough to the table should be out for any, if the big boys want to subsidize for some. Or the big boys should just name who they want.

I understand this is the way the world works and life ain’t fair but using the excuse (not enough to the table) when basically everyone Else available besides ND doesn’t bring enough to the table is bullshit.

Sorry, rant over.

They are subsidizing some that are already in their conferences. And they know it and don't seem to care.

They will worry about all that later. Right now they have important stuff to deal with for this season.

IDK if OD would have liked it. Think of the times now he wouldn't need to get up early to watch them play at 9 am.

I forwarded all of OD's Hoopla complaints to the Big 10 office about having to wake up at 9 am to watch the duck's play.

They must have found their way to Warren who is a thoughtful caring individual and wouldn't want to task them any further.

Good grief. That whopper of a road schedule to Wazzou, Zona, Cal, Colorado and Oregon State..............

Guess they had to balance out that trip to Atlanta.

It wouldn’t shock me if the B1G wants to kick the tires on ole UNC and UVA when that GoR runs out. After ND the big prize seems to be UNC next. The B1G and SEC could probably work together and get 8 schools to jump from the ACC making the GoR void (or so we’ve been told that’s what it would take) but I would bet both would want UNC so I don’t think that’ll happen now.

From what I understand, if 8 schools leave then the departing schools would still be bound to the GOR. It would be the remaining ones that it would be voided. Don't see that many schools willing to bite the bullet in order for the rest to be free

Ohh damn, if that’s the case then yeah the ACC is staying together at least for a few more years.
