Position players pitching

This is nothing new. Position players have pitched in blowouts for as long as the game has been around.

Dude must be new to watching baseball.

Real fans know why theres a positional player pitching.......Real fanns wont be disappointed......
They instead get to see a player out of position pitching rather than some scrub reliever.....its not a big deal.
 
You can thank the drunken Tony Larussa for the parade of relievers we get to watch and now with stat geeks running/ruining the game we are not going back. The occasional position player pitching an inning or two doesn't bother me much.
 
My favorite was when Luis Gonzalez was pitching for the Giants (and the Giants forfeited the DH at this point in the game, so he was hitting for himself) hit a HR off of Albert Pujols.

A position player, who was in the game as a pitcher, hit a HR off of a position player who was pitching.

I know our games are boring for the most part. Because we fucking kick ass. We have 2 or 3 competitive games a year. That’s why last season was so fun because we had a lot more close games
