Probably. They went toe to toe with OSU. I am coming from the belief that OSU wins by double digits. They blowout ND and I can see Texas #2. IF OSU loses, throw out my pollYou think Texas will be ranked ahead of UGA?
I don't really care because after no. 1, no one gives a shit. You think I am going to be jazzed going around saying, "woo hoo, we came in 5th!!!' That's why we all think this is a weird take.Nope you read it wrong - I live amongst Longhorns and they believe they are the #2 team. Well 3 of the 4 I hang with. Guess I should have asked where do you think Texas will end up in final poll.
Had they played a competitive game, I hear you. But tOSU dragged their balls all over the Ducks. I mean that was a total beatdown. At least PSU played a competitive game.FWIW I'd probably put the ducks at 4, behind Texas and ahead of PSU.
Yes that was ugly - guess I’m a minority, I wouldn’t have 3 loss teams in the top 5 unless they won the SEC or B1GHad they played a competitive game, I hear you. But tOSU dragged their balls all over the Ducks. I mean that was a total beatdown. At least PSU played a competitive game.
This is all novel to some degree. Polls have had a 4 team playoff, but nothing near this level to take into consideration.Had they played a competitive game, I hear you. But tOSU dragged their balls all over the Ducks. I mean that was a total beatdown. At least PSU played a competitive game.
This years 3 loss teams were last years 2 loss teams now with extra postseason.Yes that was ugly - guess I’m a minority, I wouldn’t have 3 loss teams in the top 5 unless they won the SEC or B1G
The Ducks Rose Bowl performance was worth about four losses.Yes that was ugly - guess I’m a minority, I wouldn’t have 3 loss teams in the top 5 unless they won the SEC or B1G
Guess I have my Mallard colored glasses on - trying not to come across as OD. Oregon’s resume warrants the #2 slot. Beating 3 playoff teams and 2 of the final four teams, their only loss is the lopsided 20 point game to the national champion, (again this is all predicated on if the Buckeyes win) ND resume is similar with huge win over UGA, they have more wins, but that loss to Northern Illinois is the difference. Yes doesn’t really matter #1 is all that matters, but I was bored and wanted other opinions. This years 3 loss teams were last years 2 loss teams now with extra postseason.
We will see how voters take it all in, but making it to the semifinals has to mean something.
I'd still put the Ducks 4 because of their regular season even if they got waxed. I think some voters will give them extra love given how weird the seeding went in general. Just doubt they go #2.
I think it's going to come down to how the NC game goes. If OSU reverts to Oregon/Tennessee mode and wins big, I think Oregon will be third behind ND. If ND keeps it close or wins (or I suppose win big is an option), I could see Oregon behind Georgia.
I really don't care where #2-10 are placed. Whomever wins between tOSU and ND is the National Champion. However, how can anyone rank tejas above Georgia when they lost to them. Not once, but twice?
If you want to take it further, who did tejas beat that Georgia lost to? Nobody.
tejas did not play Alabama or Ole Miss.
Make your case.
That is one of my points - the Longhorns fellas I hang with think they should be #2 or #3, I think they should be outside the top 5I really don't care where #2-10 are placed.
