Preseason Coaches Poll

It was still a pretty good season minus the ending and the whole fake girlfriend bit.
Yeah. Only one thing would have made it better. Hell I would have settled for not getting embarrassed.

Another poll Georgia gets disrespected on:

I do my part. I can’t help if the rest of the fan base is dragging ass.

LSU not being ranked kind of shocks me, they seem to be the type of team that gets a somewhat lofty preseason ranking regardless of how confirmed shitty they are.
If you are a betting person.. I would think you would put money on them.. They will be good this season, not SEC West champions good but probably finish runner up in that division.

People love taking shots at BK through the offseason, but when it comes to the games, he's going to do well there.

texas too low. Wait until SEC, you'll see.
lol just cause you revolve around everything TEXAS, doesn't mean we are the most annoying..

In fact this was me with several of the other posters who are fans of SEC on this board laughing about how poor ou is..

I think 8-4 is their "ceiling" for this season. I don't doubt that he will do well there but this current team I don't suddenly see busting out 10 wins in the regular season.

LSU has the potential to be runner-up in the west or last. Currently Vegas has their win total at 7 wins. Lot of changes to cleanup after the last two seasons at LSU.

LSU Schedule:

vs. FSU
Southern
Mississippi State
New Mexico
@ Auburn
Tennessee
@ Florida
Ole Miss
Alabama
@ Arkansas
UAB
@ A&M

I'd probably lean 8-4 as well. But it wouldn't surprise me to see them start 6-0 and finish with 9 wins. Hell, I don't even think it's out of the question for them to beat Bama. They played them tough last year. I'd love to see it blow up though because BK is a supreme douche.

I'll fully admit Ohio State has an annoying fanbase. If enough people think they are the most annoying, whatever, but to have this poll and not have Michigan in the top 10 tells me these people never met a Michigan fan

LSU is an interesting prospect because their schedule is very favorably. However, typically new coaches lose a game or two that no one expects. It is a rule of thumb that I always consider.

8-4 looks very likely.

Although they can definitely beat @Auburn, Tennessee, and @Florida, that is a tough 3-game stretch against 3 teams that are major ? marks but have the talent to beat LSU.

In fact that @ Auburn to @ Arkansas stretch isn't easy at all. That is when things will get rough on LSU. I see 3-4 losses in that stretch.

Southern, New Mexico and UAB are really the only "sure" wins they have though

I don't think its out of the question that they could possibly win every other game, most will probably be close. 8-4 seems like a more realistic outcome than 10-2 though.

I think they have some good players.. they were just lost on both sides of the ball a season ago. They will be a top 25 school at seasons end imo

Finishing with 4 losses gets them into the top 25.

Iowa, Oregon & Arkansas all were at the tail end with 4 losses this past season.

It depends. They would have to win their bowl game (or at least not lose it) and there would have to not be a lot of 2-3 loss major teams.

Surprised the coaches didn't feel bad for Nebraska and rank them like '97.

A legit question. Not looking to get anything going.

Have you ever looked at the offensive & defensive comparison of those two teams?

Both had top D's. But Nebraska's offense was high powdered and UofM's was nothing special at all.

Due to the Huskers offensive dominance it'll always be '97 Huskers > '97 UofM.

Just gonna say before the season starts I have no faith in Ohio State's D.

Michigan fan usually carries a weird since of entitlement and "success" which is weird considering most of their major success occurred in the early 1900s and pre WW2.

Go read the mgoblog forum it's hilarious shit. They now have a "established culture of success" because 1 season out of 7 of Harbaugh finally ended up being a conference championship season.

Yet considerably less success than Sparty since 2005.

Anyone that doesn't think he will do well doesn't follow CFB or doesn't like BK. Hell, Coach O and Miles won NC at LSU because you get to keep all that talent at home. If you can get a QB, you can win a natty there. They've had 3 in the last 14 years. It'd be stupid to bet against him.
