It takes a lot to make me queasy. Blood and broken bones don’t really bother me. Even though you top levels of auto racing are more safe now than they’ve ever been, when a car bursts into flames it always makes my heart drop until I see the driver get out. The cars are designed to protect the drivers from hard impacts now, but flames surrounding a strapped in driver scare the hell out of me

No doubt. I can agree to that as well. Protection suits and all there is just something about being strapped in while on fire that says “am I watching a death?”

Most injuries don’t rise to that level for me. It’s going to hurt, but you’ll live. Malarchuk was the same feeling to me, am I watching someone die?

They ain't wrong.

Agree 100%

it is similar to the Knights making it to the Cup in their first year. Vegas fans don’t appreciate it the same way a Cubs fan appreciates it.

As an adult who has never gotten a foul ball, I want that experience, and the “trophy”. Why should I give it to a kid who didn’t “earn” it and will just throw it in their bucket of balls they have at home? My brother got a foul ball that was just out of reach of Matt Williams’ glove back in ‘90 (or there about) and he still has that ball on a stand on his desk. He was an adult when he caught that ball.
