Did you possibly close the events AFTER whatever time the cash-to-poor payments are made?

I didn’t close any events till after the 10pm CT cutoff so people can get the vWelfare payments. It should give the $500 at that time and then any event settled after should be on top of it. Except @SoonerC lost bet so should have the $500

I think you might have that backwards. At 10pm, the cron job runs once. If the events aren't settled til after that time, losers who go to a zero balance won't get the payment til the next cycle at 10pm.

Maybe we need to set the cron job to run in the middle of the night?

Others have gotten paid though and had bets outstanding so I don’t think it is that. I just think it’s something that’s not letting them reload two days in a row which is weird because I thought it was allowing originally

Its only been 36 hours (you bet yesterday morning on soccer) but not sure why happening and not letting reload in back to back days. You should get reload at 10pm CT tonight. Send me and @HammerDown $20 each should speed up the process :D

The timing of the welfare payment is weird. You're paid at the end of the day that you go broke on. I think you got the payment (I see it) and then wagered it.

@gobigred I see now that the payment is going through for the previous day at 10pm, so it's essentially like a one business day hold, if you will. The payments are going through, just not instantly. In a way, as a bettor, I think it's good because it actually forces me to think twice before going all in.

Thoughts?

The payment is triggered when a member goes broke from lost bets. If gbr settles them at 10:30pm, the $500 payment will go through at 9pm CST the next night.

That's not how any of this has worked for years. The only answer that you've alluded to that makes sense is so.e sort of delay. When you first went live it worked fine then you starting talking about how someone shouldnt be broke if they have money in play. I would assume if you tweaked something then that is the issue because sometimes people with money in play but technically at zero balance at 11pm are getting welfare and some are not.
 
How about just giving everyone enough to begin with to really show what they can do? Then if you go bust you have to wait 30 days or something and get a reduced amount?

I assure you I win more real money bets than most anyone around here. The way this is set up it’s in your interest to go all in, all I’m saying. I just want to fully understand how the reloads will work for everyone, that’s it. Thanks to everyone that spends their own time to make this fun.

No not yet, it’s unreal really, all they care about is the guaranteed payoff of the machines. Even when it’s passed they will hire it out to the big fish, no one has any guts anymore. The money they are generating is just too easy. Overall hasn’t been the best thing for the state because the state didn’t do a good enough job of negotiating.
