So….if I have to arm chair QB this….the father in law is instigating this worse. As a male I totally get it. But, it’s an instigation.

gotta call BS on that.
Sherman is trespassing & trying to break into the home.
Pepperspray is the nicest version of what could have happened. Also its a deterrent. Staying by the door afterwards would mean to continue to breathe it in. It doesnt just disappear. That definitely isnt instigation.

What I was calling out was the words….”yeah, come on in” or something like that. It’s a pointless thing to call out as the fucker was just trying to bash in your door to get at your daughter. I get it. I would absolutely be that guy there.

Main thing I learned here is that at least one 911 dispatcher needs some sensitivity training. It would have taken the same amount of time to get the info through placation, and been better all around.

Sigh….I don’t like Richard Sherman, never have. But, I’m not dancing on this with my dislike for him. This is what football creates, and we are being reminded this time and again.

That was me just grasping at straws at what could have been done right on the homeowners side. And really, it doesn’t matter.

If one of my girls ex’s is trying to smash in and I’m laying out a cloud of pepper while he tries to come through my door I’m talking shit too.

Im not offering an excuse or absolution here. I’m pondering what reasons might be a part of it.
Yeah….I know….lots of people turn those into excuses for bad behavior. I’m not one of them. I’m just curious within my own thoughts.

Dude got drunk off his ass, probably talked to his wife earlier in the evening and got extremely angry that she didn't take his suicide threat seriously, crashed his car, and then proceeded to bash the door of his in-laws' house, threatening assault. But he pleaded 'not guilty' following his PR-written apology, so it's hard to know which parts of his conduct he's aware of, let alone which part(s) he feels any responsibility for.

No Worries. His lawyer will tell him what to be aware of & how to feel.
Doubt his wife presses charges & if this is his 1st incident the DA wont pursue it without no one asking for them too. They will want a pattern of this behavior before they go after him themselves alone.
