you didn't want to do like @navamind and title your thread "RIP J. Giambi" to get more clicks?

Watched some of his pro games in low A back in the day.

Shame to see he didn’t got to a park or something. Horrible look and now his parents prolly have to move.

terrible news, 47 is way too young.

also can't believe it's been almost 20 years since the Mabry trade

Dude was safe on that overrated Jeter flip to home that gets shown 100 times a year

Circle of Life.

Wow thats rough news. Didn't this guy have some substance abuse issues in the past aside from PEDs?

Man, so sad. His values must have been so screwed up to have been so consumed with his own problems to kill himself at his parents house.

You never know what’s happening in someone’s mind. 5 or so years ago one of my good friends walked down the stairs, told his parents he loved them, went back upstairs and shot himself. Nobody knew anything was wrong. His parents are shells of their former selves now

In their befuddled mind, at that moment, it made sense.

Don't want to "go there" but let's just say, it's very difficult for me when fans of famous actors/comedians glorify an individual who chose suicide.

It’s the most selfish thing you can do.

Only way I can see it being an acceptable option is if you have a terminal disease and you’re in constant pain and not long for the world anyways

Maybe he was guilt-ridden after head-butting Bob Saget? :noidea:

Too soon?

the Moneyball movie had him out to be a drug addict tbh

The Moneyball movie also had him seemingly just being brought in to replace Jason and shipped out in half a season.

I'm not saying that the partying wasn't part of the reason that he was shipped out, I'm just saying that I think a guy appears a lot worse when he's portrayed as wearing out his welcome in a few months rather than the handful of seasons it took in real life.
