Rodgers criticizes WOKE culture

RP, So society has taken it upon itself to invade other people's privacy and determine how they should act? That's total crap.
Rodgers's only goal in life should be to get you guys Super Bowl wins.

So Rodgers is somehow different?
I think you missed my sarcasm when I said his only goal should be to get you SB rings...

Society has taken it upon itself to invade A-List Celebrities' privacy and determine how they should act.

:fify:

Yes. Been happening since the dawn of human society. I'm not saying it's right or it's the way it should be; it's the way it is.

I did. Although the tam wins SB rings. He is just part of the team. The only thing I want from him is effort.

do you think he puts in enough effort?

Ain't right. Rodgers is right when he bitches about it.
I agree. It isn’t right.

But, I also agree with @RP-29 in that this is what it’s always been and what it is.

I understand his right to bitch about the attention to his every breath, especially since I think he does what he’s supposed to do on the field. The media driven bullshit all off season was such nonsense. I get him having a gripe with it.

I just don’t get his comments on McAfees show….they miss the mark. That doesn’t de-legitimize his overall gripe….it’s just misplaced.

The woke culture comes from the same place. His use of the buzz word is typical of a rabble rouser. I think he is trying to stir shit up.

Well….that’s just silly. I mean, if he keeps killing it on the field who can really complain.

He says he’s above it all, but he’s not really. But, whatever, such is his right.

The other point is just because it is just the way it is does not mean you can't try to change it. "That's the way it has always been" just means it has always been wrong.

I'm of a slightly different mindset. Individual people create their own situations and should take full personal responsibility for every checkpoint in their life. I don't subscribe to victimhood. The are very few true victims in this world. Having a random plane crash into your house is legitimate victim status because there's realistically nothing you could've done yourself to prevent it from happening.

I don't subscribe to Rodgers playing the victim card and complaining about being targeted. He's creating his own situation at every step. He makes choices and each choice has consequences - often both good and bad. And beyond that, he's an A-lister by choice; he knows everybody's watching and everybody has an opinion and everybody has an agenda. If he doesn't want to be targeted, relinquish the celebrity status. If he doesn't want to relinquish the celebrity status, be prepared to be targeted and conjure constructive ways to deal with it.

So you are all good for people being targeted because of their celebrity status?

I disagree

being a celebrity does not open them up for criticism from the public.

If you think he is spreading himself too thin and it is affecting his play on the field, that is for his bosses to determine, not you, the fan.

you just have to suck it up and say "that's my QB...he wants to go to Hollywood" or whatever.
