BTW, @occupant , I'm going to risk getting chastised for not going to the PF for this, but my "give a shitter" broke a long time ago.

Henceforth you will have a permanent cell next to me (and many others of our ilk) in the Politically Incorrect Penitentiary overseen the Woke Police (and other whiny ass PC groups) for referring to this game as the RRSO. There can be no place for violent references to such things as "shootouts"...even if they are part of the great history of the Southwest. The game is now referred to as the Red River Showdown as to not poison the minds of our little children. Similar to book banning Charlotte's Web from elementary school libraries.

It's not unreasonable to think a 3loss Texas makes it in.

There's been a 3loss team in the top 12 of the final cfp rankings most years.

True, but this year there are good records in the independents/military schools. Also in that 2 loss scenario Jexas isn't in the SECCG so a 2 loss Jexas shouldn't get in over a 2 loss SEC school that got that second loss in the SECCG. Would love to see Jexas as the first team out, pretty much how A&M's first year in the SEC went.

I'll post my projections in a little bit, but it's unlikely that more than one of Army/Navy/Notre Dame finish above 2-loss Texas, since they all play each other.
