RRSO Week

I'd consider taking Texas and giving 4 points but never 14 points. OU's defense has a pulse, UT's got a glass starting quarterback, Arch is darn good but he's never faced a serious D in his life the caliber of Oklahoma's D when it's clicking and this is a rivalry game being played on a neutral field. Shit can happen in a game like that. Texas should win but giving 14 points? :twitch:
Yeah, 14 way too high for this game. I'll be all over Oklahoma

O/U has moved from 54.5 to 49.5

This is very tough one for me. This game is prone to surprises, so I am being a bitch. On paper Texas should cruise to a win, but the game is played on a field. OU defense is excellent at stopping the run and creating havoc. They are not great in coverage. Texas has one of the best pass blocking OLs in the country. They are a pass first team with one of the most complete WR rooms in the country. Quinn has had some of his best moments in big games.

Offensively OU is a mess. OL has been a weakness. Run game has been poor. They really need Deion Burks back.

I will guess OU is going to try to burn clock and play field position. They will throw a couple trick plays in there. One advantage OU has is on special teams. They don’t want to get into a shootout. The 1Q is huge for them. last thing they want to see is a 14-0 deficit.

Just the nature of rivalry games. Weird shit happens in these games. The weirdest would be watching Thompson come in for OU, which is a possibility

I'm looking forward to this year's game even more than usual.

1. Is the Oklahoma defense enough to win a close game?
2. Is Quinn Ewers for real this year or a piece of crystal that looks pretty but breaks easily?
3. What can Arch Manning do if it's nut cutting time?
4. Can OU get anyone back off the injured list that will make a difference?
5. How fast can Mike Hawkins grow up?
6. Will either team have a coordinator that shits the bed?
7. It's inevitable that either Texas or Oklahoma will get a huge lucky break. Who is it this year?

The bye week is very favorable to OU. I have to believe they are going to do some serious work on the offense. I could see power spread looks.

I wonder if the secondary can hold up, especially Cb and NB. OU lost their nickel, who was one of their best players (underrated). I expect Venables to throw the kitchen sink at Texas

I hate this game being right before Georgia.

of course he's gonna throw everything at Texas.. he did it a year ago too.. He knows once Texas shreds them and his overrated ass roster.. the bottom is going to fall and ou will fall apart the rest of the way.

I want everyone to keep saying how elite this defense is.. don't want to hear about how the offense kept the defense out there too many times or because of so and so being injured..

Texas is going to expose this defense #HOOKEM

I don’t think the defense is elite, in the sense they just stone people. Their run defense is very good. They are excellent at LB. That allows Brent to move the DL around. Stutsman can clean up behind, even when they guess the wrong stunt. Their pass defense is rated in the 70s and they haven’t seen a QB like Ewers. That said they are very opportunistic. Auburn game is a good example. Auburn threw for over 10 yards an attempt and that is Auburn, but they got the pick 6. Tenn threw for 9.2 per attempt. Houston 9.3. Oklahoma is solid in the red zone (12th in TD% allowed). They are 4th in the nation in creating turnovers. This is defense reliant on Havoc plays. Take care of the football and pass pro and you will have success be them. Texas has seen a better DL this season already

I think OU will be ready for your screens and jet sweeps. OU got nothing to lose in the game. Nothing
