We'll have to agree to disagree. No school tells you that they can get you to the NFL. But, you know you have a better chance at some schools than others. To me, it's one thing to know that a school is good at getting their players NIL deals, and another that gives or promises you deals before you get there. I'd think that is obvious. Now, whether that is against the rules or not is a different subject, but that it is different seems self-evident.

My issue is with him calling out another school like that. Lots of folks have made comments criticizing how NIL is being done. Hell, so far, USC has benefitted from NIL as much as anyone in the country and Lincoln Riley has said that some things need to be changed with it.

Calling out another school like Saban did is b.s.

Having said that...Jimbo was a bit over the top in firing back as well when he said to "talk to coaches who have worked for him" in talking about how Saban got to where he is...Well, you used to work for him Jimbo...so tell us about it.

There are NIL collectives at Ole Miss too. Maybe with pockets not as deep as A&M’s boosters but since my kid is going there I’ve made friends with a professor there who’s husband is a bank VP and one the board for the Chamber of Commerce in Oxford and he was directly involved with getting their NIL collective up and running.

I don't disagree in what Saban said in the other 99% of what he said. The "idea" of NIL was to give players the chance to make money off their likeness but we all knew this was going to turn into the bid war for players as we know of today and there's no way to police this. Sure coaches like Saban and Dabo can "morally" recruit using NIL the right way but practically they're in the position to never be fired from their school. I don't any other coach for using NIL as a recruiting tool because if you're not, you are left behind and looking for a job in a few years
