San Diego State to the P12

says a lot about you that you consider Red Alerts idea as if it says a lot about the pac 12 like they would do that.

Pshhh

Thinking Amazon streaming Pac games on Saturdays is going to compete with ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and ESPN for ratings is wishful thinking.

1) They don't have the population like there is east of the Rockies.
2) They don't have the time zone there is east of the Rockies.
3) More homes have ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, ESPN than have Amazon.

a lousy product? based on what? people telling you it was a lousy product? did you watch the games? not all of them but any of them? some were good some where bad no different than other conferences.

For real? The conference hasn't made the CFP since 2016, has only had 9 teams finished ranked the past 5 non-covid years, last years champion lost OOC to BYU and San Deigo State, and the conference had taken on a lot of losses to G5 schools. The games were very competitive, and they were fun to watch, but you can also say that about the Sun Belt and the AAC. The lack of an elite team, at any point since 2016 hasn't helped the perception either. So when I say lousy, that's what I mean. The metrics back it up. They've been the worst(2021 & 2018) conference or the 2nd worst(2017 & 2019) conference the last 5 seasons.

Good for SDSU. I’ve always wondered why they weren’t better than they are. If I’m a young recruit I would rather go to SDSU than one of the Arizona schools or even BSU. Great weather, ocean and women.

One doesn't have to be told in words it's a "lousy product".

One only needs to look at the teams of lawyers, accountants, and advertisers at ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, ESPN, to understand what the product is worth.

Even Notre Dame is going to get north of $60 million from NBC all to themselves.
something something Nebraska on the way

Sounds like DP jumped the gun. No expansion until the media deal is signed. That said, I think this eventually happens.

I hate to agree with OD, but of all teams that are out there, I'd say UNLV would be the best "get". JMO.

Where things have changed since the B1G took Maryland and Rutgers, is the networks are looking for those high viewership games more than the number of tv sets. At least that's what I've gleaned from you guys that follow this.
I agree. UNLV with the new stadium is a GREAT get for the Pac.

Im for this move. Anchorman joke will be at a premium. San Diego it means a whales vagina
