My Dad mentioned a few times we should have gone bigger. But he does that alot when I'm on the hook for the bill.
The 26" worked fine for us and the bigger models are the price of a cheap car.

Have a friend who bought one of these portable mills...not sure what brand his is...it's yellow?!?!?

He pulls sinker cypress logs that have been in the water for decades...they look like shit when he drags the logs out but once he cuts the slabs from logs the real beauty of this 100+ year old wood shines through. He makes a lot of money doing this. It is hard work though...guy works his tail off.

Looks like the replacement blades are the same price for 10 at $245, for the 26" and the 30" mill. So the upfront costs may be higher to purchase the larger mill but the operating costs will be the same. Something to consider when purchasing one of these units.

FiL has one in what was his folks barn. It’s old, no idea what brand or where it was made. But he makes some awesome
Tables, shelves, cabinets and furniture with it.

Cool to have pieces that grew on the homestead.

Not gonna handle 30” logs though.
