Scenario Village Game

The committee will lean on the "early loss" excuse and weigh their late-season wins more heavily add in a dose of SOS and give the spot to Bama. We've seen this played out too many times.

Honestly, it's time the SEC was left out but I just don't think it will happen because they have performed better than any other conference since the BCS let alone the playoff was created. It would be nuts not to give an SEC team the benefit of the doubt.

Alabama is not the same team that played Texas right now and I don't think Texas is much different.
If Alabama were to get in over Texas in that scenario, Texas fans would have every right to be pissed

Bama
conf champ of SEC

oops, didn't follow rules

1. Alafuckingbama
2. they are the SEC motherfucking conference champions. If Texas wanted in, they should not have lost a game. Next season, when they are a one loss SEC champion they will be an AQ
3. There. I followed it. (the fucking rules)

Here is the setup:

FSU goes undefeated and is in the Playoff
Washington goes undefeated and is in the Playoff
Michigan goes undefeated and is in the Playoff

Alabama wins the SEC Championship game and has one loss
Georgia loses the SEC Championship game and has one loss against Alabama in an overtime game
Texas wins out and only has one loss
Ohio State only has one loss in an overtime game with Michigan

Who gets the 4th spot?

Rules:
1. You must name your choice first
2. Then you have to defend that choice
3. Both have to be done in one post

Anyone who deviates from the rules will be disqualified and will be subject to punishment.
Texas would go in that scenario, and 2 teams better than at least 3 that got in - the undefeated teams - would be left out. The SEC would then go nuclear next year in the 12 team CFP and will win every national championship until the end of time.

But seriously, Texas would go in the scenario.

Texas- wins over 8 Bama (double digit win on the road), 15 OSU, 16 Kansas, and 25 KSU

Using current rankings..

Interesting argument, but the problem for Bama is they lost by double digits at home to Texas. That is going to be a tough thing to overlook

Look I want anyone but Bama or Georgia in the playoff but do you really believe they are going to leave Bama if they are the SEC Champ out of the game?

I just don't believe it because they have every way possible to get in when possible and no one has come close to beating them in a tie.

Someone is going to get left home and they would have less of an excuse for being pissed than undefeated Auburn in 2004.

Sorry, never made it past the bolded.

Don't judge! It was a long day.

I just want chaos. That’s all.

Won’t happen.

This thing works out and people will bitch but the truth is there are 4 spots and all you had to do was win all your games and one of them was yours. Drop a game and then you spin the fate wheel and if you crap out you crap out.

There has not been one team left out of the playoff that you can convince me would have won it all. They process has worked and most years we don’t even have 4 teams that deserve to be there. Last year was an exception and this year looks like it maybe one two but we aren’t done.

By the end it should be pretty clear on 3 of the teams and if 2 teams are fighting for that 4th spot it’s their fault. Schedule better, win more games if you don’t like your fate.

Going to be hard for Bama to pass Texas, perhaps they do but there is not logic reaso to do so

If they beat undefeated Georgia in the SECCG that most likely will be the bump they need depending on who Texas plays in the Big 12 Championship. If you guys end up playing Oklahoma State and it's close it will help you much.

The committee will discount early losses and look to see how the teams are currently playing and blowing out LSU looks a lot better than squeaking by Kansas State. You guys are used to getting the benefit of the doubt but Alabama takes that to the next level and falls assbackwards into playoff games.

Just prepare yourself it this scenario gets close to reality because you have my vote but I have no faith you will get the spot.

I always thouht it helped the loser in the RRSO, because it's played early enough to recover from.

At least it's always seemed that way
