The problem with that is Oklahoma has tumbled since then making that win not look as great plus Texas has struggled (QB issues have a lot to do with that) at times. On the flip side Alabama looks stronger and stronger and perception is big part of this deal as well.

I could be wrong but if the trends continue and both Texas and Bama win out I think Bama will get the nod.

The only logical options are Bama and Ohio St but if Bama beats UGA they probably get in on the simple fact UGA was undefeated and back to back champions.

So louisville who beat ND by more than Ohio State did (who is getting credit as ND being one of their good wins) and will have then beat an otherwise undefeated FSU, and would have wins against bowl eligible BC, NC State, Miami, and Kentucky from SEC should be left out?

It doesn’t matter what history or eye test and opponents are… if 1-loss Bama gets in over 1-loss Texas when Texas beat them directly (in their house), there’ll be an actual violent riot.

No chance in hell. Ohio St made it in after Penn St beat them that one year on the fluke FG block return.

Texas beat them early in the year. This helps Bama. If they knock off Georgia, no way they keep them out since there can't be 4 undefeated teams.

If they beat the 2-time back to back champion...it would be a miracle they don't make it in

I mean after the Alabama win Texas next best are Kansas and Kansas state. both Kentucky and NCSt are currently 6-3 and likely finish with more. Potential win over FSU would pretty much put both resumes very similar to each other.

Texas barely beat TCU. Bama is skulldragging every team. If they were to beat Georgia, no chance they would put Texas in over them
