Scenes that make you emotional

This movie....

Hugh Jackman at his best

Tried to post the Old Yeller scene, but it's blocked. The first time I saw that I cried like a little bitch.

One more is the end of Saving Private Ryan when Ryan turns to his wife and says “Tell me I’ve lived a good life”. The whole movie is emotional but that scene destroyed me.
Here you go:

Just watched it again myself. It’s not so much the “am I a good man?” that got me….it was all that leading up to the salute. The damn salute gets me every time.

Growing up with a Vet who lost friends and comrades like this these scenes always get me. Ryan got to survive. He was one of the lucky ones. But, survival like this (and from this) was both a blessing and a challenge. Many never found their way out of this to have this moment with a large and happy family in Normandy decades later.

Soldiers like this survived in more than one way.

i've long said this moment right here was very likely will smith's best moment in front of a camera, tv show or movie.
Ahhhh….if the Pursuit of Happiness and Seven Pounds never happened I would fully agree with you.

Those were roles with insanely powerful moments from him. But, you knew they were coming there. You didn’t expect such a powerful moment to come from a kid in a silly sitcom when it did. That’s absolutely noted.

Seven Pounds was a great fucking movie.

I have never cried, but Manchester by the Sea (clips from post #2) made me tear up for sure. Really good movie in general too.

Never saw Seven Pounds, heard it was pretty awful.

But I do think Pursuit of Happyness is one of Will Smiths best, that and Enemy of the State.

I thought it was pretty good. Lifted by a few great scenes from him. Pursuit was the more complete movie.

I still feel a twinge as i watch.
