SEC Basketball

I'm starting to wonder if the SEC really is this good, or they've just played the ACC a bunch of times.
The SEC is the second best basketball conference behind the Big 12 right now and honestly they may be better it’s just too early to make that call.

They will still shit the bed come March as they haven’t grown up enough to finish. Hope I’m wrong but that’s the trend.

I was just joking. The SEC is by far the best this year. We're 80% through non conference play. Overall, there aren't that many notable OOC games left. These SEC teams are going to rack up Q1/Q2 wins in conference. Every road game will be a Q1 game (except for maybe South Carolina) and half your home games will be a Q 1 game. Every Auburn conference game is a Q1/Q2 game, which is crazy.

Which is why I still find it funny the OU fan thinking that moving from Big12 to SEC means the competition in mens basketball is "a whole lot easier". :pound:

Well the B12 has been the best conference for like the last 4 years or so. Not this year though. SEC is killing it in the Non Con.

Yeah, but a couple of those weren't really impressive because the two they beat ain't too swift.

I spent the afternoon/evening at Dickie's Arena in downtown Fort Worth watching Vandy/TCU, A&M/Texas Tech and South Carolina/TCU women. Only team that impressed me was South Carolina women.

All four of the men's teams were some of the best turnover bakers I've ever seen. I can't see A&M or Vandy doing much this year because of how strong as the SEC seems to be. (A&M is very old/experienced and should be better. They certainly can be later but they'll have to improve over yesterday's game.) Tech/TCU may win a few games in the Big 12 but only because it doesn't look like much at all.

I'll give the Red Raider faithful credit for one thing. They showed up big time. It was sold out. I'd guess it was 70%-30% Tech. Not many fan bases beat the agnuts.

None of those teams are elite, but you gotta fill out the tournament with 37 at large teams, so teams like A&M and Vandy have put themselves in great positions with their OOC resume.

B12 schools show up in March also. Until the SEC can be more consistent with multiple teams showing up in March I’ll keep the Big 12 as the best basketball conference.

The ass whipping the ACC took in preseason puts them maybe in 4th behind the Big 10.

South Carolina/Clemson and UF/UNC are fantastic games right now.

UF takes down UNC. UNC's game against UCLA is a must win.

South Carolina holds on against Clemson. Another bad night for the ACC. SEC is 50-4 in December.

Undefeated OU plays Michigan tonight. Bad matchup for us, too much height.

Florida is 10-0. Unc battled back to lead for a bit in the second half.. not sure I liked what I saw but the boys did get their shit together in the last 3 minutes to pull out the win. First actual test for my Gators and they didn't implode.. I'm happy about that

Should be a good one. Michigan is pretty skilled. Fears has been awesome for OU so far.

What a fucking game. Damn Michigan can't close out games. Unreal. OU with two buy games left, then head to Alabama the first game of the SEC, in what should be a top 10 showdown. I think 6-12 in SEC might get them on in. Fears is a stud.
