SEC Basketball

I'm gonna shake my fist at you so hard if you just jinxed us.
As usual our defense woke up in the second half and saved you from the scowl of a lifetime!

I told you your agnuts would kill the rusty cows.

Now, if you’ll reciprocate by telling me the winning numbers in the next lottery we’ll call it even.

I mean I'm done arguing with you over this. OU has a rich basketball tradition with Billy Tubbs, Kelvin Sampson, and Lon Kruger. OU has had a much better basketball program than A&M. OUs played in multiple final fours and has played for the national title a couple times. Many consider the 1988 NC game vs Kansas the greatest ever. But again I'll watch a few games here and there but I just don't really care that much for basketball in general.
Yeah... History is great. But that does do a damn thing for you in the present.

On another note. That Bama/Auburn game is gonna be a blood letting in February, if both teams can stay healthy & focused

They were showing Jexas' conference schedule during the game last night, they got:

#13 A&M
#2 Auburn
#1 Tennessee
#12 OU
#6 Florida

To start conference play. Looks like the football schedulers don't also do basketball. :dhd:

Oh boy.... Hook'em may get gourded

I had a dream last night that Auburn was on and I forgot about the game and they had lost to Vandy.

The pressure of being number 2 is starting to get to me. I like it better when they are climbing the polls and peak late.

I'd offer to have my team beat you, but that wouldn't leave much time to climb back up the polls. Sorry.

I’m legit stressed we have peaked too early. Auburn is crushing good teams and that’s with clearing the bench the last few minutes of each game.

We usually drop at least one game we shouldn’t early and typically two and have a few that were way too close. This year even the one loss to Duke at Duke was a great loss and put 2 more minutes on the clock and they win it. They were freaking 18 points down to Iowa State and I was sitting there saying this is exactly the type loss they need to get their head straight and then they came back!

I can’t handle this kind of success in basketball it’s too stressful. I’m going to need a rebuilding year when this is over.

Eh, y'all will easily make the tournament and look to be built for a run.

Florida putting it on Tennessee right now.
Tennessee can’t shoot a golf ball into a swimming pool. It was about 7 minutes in before they hit a shot.

Newell's a beast for UGA.

It'll be interesting to see how UK does in the SEC. Think they probably finish .500 or so in league play. Maybe worse honestly.

Well it's not hurting my feelings one stinking bit after our game against UK... worst they've played so far this year.. look much better tonight!!
Currently Fl 67 Tn 35!

Woot!! took down #1 .. I sure do hope these kids keep playing well like this.. it will be super fun to watch!!

The league could look like the B1G a couple years back with one leader, and a pack of 10-12 teams separated by a couple of games.

I honestly hope that happens.

I think it is more likely there are two clear tiers, instead of one clear team. Right now it looks like Tenn, Auburn, and maybe Bama are all able to beat each other on any given day. Second tier of KY, UF, A&M, and probably Miss St could get hot and do well. Ole Miss is bantered about, but going to need to see them beat some good teams.

Tonight we have :
Bama @ SCar
Ole Miss @ Arkansas
A&M @ OU

which might show us contenders from pretenders. I expect Bama to easily handle Scar, Arkansas to beat Ole Miss, and fingers crossed A&M makes the usual halftime adjustments and beats OU.

Yeah, IDK what to think. Auburn might be a tier to themselves, but UF, Tennessee and Bama are still really good as well (despite last night with Tennessee). I'd probably have it as follows:

Tier 1: Auburn
Tier 2: UF, Tennessee and Bama
Tier 3: Texas A&M, Mississippi State and UK
Tier 4: Ole Miss, OU, and UGA.
Tier 5: Vandy, Arkansas and Missouri

Last year it went to the wire with four teams Tennessee, Bama, Auburn and SC seriously in the hunt to win the conference. Auburn & Alabama missed it by a game and split 2nd.
