That’s a neat little dystopian tale. I just don’t see something like that here. The control would not hold. Or maybe I’m way off base and for all of our “don’t tread on me” we would fall right into line like the Chinese have for generations.

Watched the trailer but guess I will have to see the movie for better context. Clearly it’s a much worse mortality rate than what we’ve dealt with.

I remember at the start China built a shitload of hospitals in one week. They were sending the sick to these places to recover. The concept of having an OPTION of a place to go to remove your transmissibility (or more of it) from family and loved ones is interesting. But, only as an option.

their testing is far superior to ours. They utilize the cell phone for everything! They need to show that code to get into restaurants and such.

I asked her about how long it took. She said the place she went to was about 30 minutes but that’s bc it was nearby a mall. Other places are less than 5 minutes

I asked her if she remembers scientists saying COVID is no big deal and all the other nonsense? Yes.

Well there are scientists of all political stripes that wear too much of their politics to compromise their science. This is just another example.

i 100% avoid reviews of movies i dont want anyones opinion tainting a movie in any way before i watch it, if i like it then fuck the rest if i dont then fuck the rest but i dont want you telling me "the plot is so unrealistic" or some stupid shit before i get to watch and find if there is entertainment value in it!

I’m not freaked about 5 minutes….but whatever the time it takes it would be the DAILY part that can just fuck off.

Also….old logic point just came back to me….addressing the spread of a virus, that spreads best when it’s indoors, but keeping everyone indoors is the most illogical fucking thing.

I like that part. Here we had to test no more than 72 hours before we would land in Portugal so we paid an arm and a leg above insurance to get the 48 hour results. We still didn’t get them until we were driving to Miami for our flight.

In Germany we paid something like 5 Euros per test and had the results on our phone without 2 hours.

PCR for 5 euros im assuming? 2 hours is impressive if so (for not being able to force companies into existence just to address the problem)

if you notice it’s time stamped. I think a 24 hour period is good but TBH I’m not sure.

The tests themselves can be done pretty quickly. The bottleneck is in the logistics. Still not enough labs set up to run the tests. They seem to have that equation set much more favorably in Europe, I’ll give them that.
