It's never been this wild west, ever. I mean you have boosters seriously telling a player that he already negotiated with him, he's not giving him more money. You have players agents saying unless a school gives him more money, he is transferring. You have a collective tied directly to UTjr bragging about paying $2 million a year to get a QB to enroll there. We've never had close to that happening.
I sort of get that fans get pissy when things change. They got all torn up when the players started getting cost of living money. But you have to see this is different. And don't @ me with this used to happen under the table. I know there were/are bagmen, and that players got paid, but it was never, ever to this degree.
So, I am not pissy, and my panties aren't in a twist. But I don't like the way this is going. You can be for player mobility and then getting NIL - I am - and still recognize what we have now isn't workable.
Your last sentence says alot ... you can want the players to have control over their lives more and still not want the schools to lose all control. You are advocating for chaos. That isn't good for anyone.
