Kinda funny to me to listen to how the remaining teams in the Dysfunctional XII are acting so self assured about their great financial future with those excellent new teams coming into the conference to create maybe the most competitive conference in college football and yet they're scrambling around on the ground trying to pick up every penny they can before Oklahoma and Texas go out the door.
That post is silly to say the least.
The Big 12 increases their revenue by $110 million/yr (minimum) if TX/OU bolt early.
I'm willing to bet that if TX/OU leave for the 2023 season the Big 12 payouts will still increase (maybe substantially) with the addition of Houston, Cincy, UCF and BYU through 2025. That's NOT even including the $110 million/yr (minimum) bonus they'll get from the SEC.
I say that because CFB fans will be watching to see how Houston, Cincy, UCF and BYU, stack up against the Baylor's, Okie jr's, Iowa St's, of the conference.
Baylor, Okie jr, Iowa St, etc... are P5 teams right? Or have TX/OU been playing in a G5 conference all along?
