So what is the latest news on the OU and Texas to SEC situation?

lol if you think that GOR means anything right now.. schools will pay whatever it is to make sure they get a chair in either the SEC or BiG right now
Sure, lots of schools have a half a billion sitting around too but out the GOR. Cmon

lol it's not a half a billion.. but sure stick with a conference that gives you 30 plus mil while everyone else is making 100 mil..

i must have missed the BiG extending a hand to any of those 4 new loser big 12 expansion schools or any of the schools currently in the Big12..

take your medicine you gimps

LOL @ one 10-win season, five losing seasons, & zero conf. titles in the last 12 years.

Sit the fuck down. :meh:

“Hurrr, durrrr…..but we’re Texas en sech.”

2 things ...

1. If GOR are so easy to walk away from, how come your team is waiting until 2025? Why haven't you simply moved to the SEC?

2. You are conflating two concepts - an exit fee and the GOR. They are different. For the ACC, it's about $50 million. But a GOR means that the team has given the rights to its media to the ACC. If a team were to leave the ACC and go to the SEC, whatever they made in the SEC would be paid to the ACC, not the team. So, Clemson, as an example, would give up all revenue from 2023-2036, which would be way more than half a billion dollars.

Now, the SEC could say we will pay it for you but only if whatever value you bring to us is so much more incrementally that we all make enough money to cover it. That won't happen.

But, back to your dismissive attitude about the GOR ... how come if it is so easy to get out of it, you haven't.

Again UT and ou will be leaving before 2025..and that GOR will fall apart once 6 schools start getting invites

Wait
I wonder if Oklahoma/Texas have much control over more, new, Big 12 members.
that's what i was joking about earlier.. it would be something if they stopped the Big12 from expanding without paying them first lol

I thought it was Nebraska and Aggie.

But, it is all Texas's fault anyway.

I mean you are right. Colorado was the first team to officially leave the Big12 but both Missouri and Nebraska had discussions with B1G at that point as well.
