So why was Texas a top 10 team?

I just saw that Texas fans are pushing to hire Urban Meyer.

yeah.. doesn't help that a $9.95 site is grouping the entire fan base with the dozen or so posters on it's message board, as all of Texas fans "pounding the table for Urban"..

But what it happening is the division of Boosters.. The Houston BMDs got their way with hiring Tom with no backup plan because they were convinced he was a sure thing. That shit happens when you have an interim AD who easily gets swayed by his buddies.

Now the same Dallas BMDs want to go after Urban, the way they went after Saban. Those guys don't understand how the Admin side of the school doesn't like red flags, hell they barely approved Tom for rumors of what he did at tosu, and the fact that he called in a radio show in Houston to argue with two local DJs. It's gonna be an internal struggle to get them to approve it, even if the BMDs foot the bill.

Tom is in his 4th year currently, the guy needs to get out of his own fucking way.. You hired Yurcich to call the plays, don't jump into it and do the same calls ( QB option, Zone read, 5 yard route when you need 7 yards) when you have a lead and can put the game away.
It's like he hasn't learned anything.. you have to stay aggressive and score in this conference.. The players don't need to learn how to win, HE'S the one who needs to learn how to win.

Defense is improving and I expect it to be pretty salty in November.

If Texas can improve their defense, they will become a true competitor. The offense doesn't look bad. It is a down year for the Big12 and a great opportunity for Herman. However he needs the team to improve from their last 2 outings.

That's what made ou good over the past few seasons.. the offense was the obvious strength and played like it.. Texas should be really good but they go through long droughts with some bad playcalling/mistakes.. and no adjustments.. The defense really isn't that terrible.. right now it's meshing together.. by November it should be solid.. but the offense needs to cover for them til then and it simply dropped the ball Saturday.
 
Texas still has to play OU, Osu, Isu, and Ksu. Arguably the 4 best teams in the Big 12. This week is a must win for them more so than Oklahoma who can write this season off. No idea why OU is favored though.

ahhh here we go with the T-Shirt diss.. only thing that surprises me is you not using Class of 19__ in your signature or your aggy ring in an avatar..

It's harder to be a t-shirt fan than not getting accepted at aggy these days.

And of course we all make fun of aggys.. They keep acting like they are the king of tx.. because they beat utsa, lamar, abcu, tsu... angelo st next?

But deep down we are all jealous of the great success you have achieved in the SEC.... please comeback and save us!!!
