Your retarded state has the most fresh water coastline in The Union and still can't provide its constituents with unleaded drinking water. A hurricane would set you back 75 years. How can the states be this unprepared? 4 million without power?
Something must be desperately wrong with the infrastructure of these places to be this badly flooded?
Utility companies won't spend the money it takes to bury and waterproof their equipment. And if substations or transformers go out, everything is fucked. How can the states be this unprepared? 4 million without power?

Going to be a rocky night for the local team's homecoming parade and game tonight. Forecast is for 60-65 mph winds from 6 to midnight from Helene's remnants. No news from friends in Tampa and Tallahassee.
Crap. Best of luck on the clean-up.Rain is almost done here now. Power has been on and off. Tree fell over during the night. Thankfully away from the house. But fence damage and lying in middle of road

My brother lives north of Tampa; he checked in this morning. He lost power overnight, but lives far enough inland and on high enough ground where flooding wasn't a concern.Going to be a rocky night for the local team's homecoming parade and game tonight. Bigger news was that his son broke his ankle the night before his 6th birthday (this week). That sucks.
