Spring Games Are Getting Shut Down

The final ncaa settlement later this year can’t get here quick enough. Conferences going to lay down some rules after that and a lot of this changes.

it's the baby wins that are important

Gotta start somewhere.

Becoming bowl eligible gave Nebraska 3 extra weeks of practice and film room that they haven't had in what'd you say 7 years?

That's literally an extra spring or fall camp they've been behind 60+ teams every year.

If they don't squander it, the bowl win should also be a confidence boost for returning players in the weight room and locker room.

Dang. Maybe we should've canceled :rain:

Ohio State is having a "Spring Showcase", whatever that is. They have played 29 games the last 2 years, so it will probably be a bunch of 7 on 7's with new guys and not a lot with the starters, especially those who have played significant minutes.

I do wonder about the QB competition and how it will be affected.

Day also cut down the timeframe because the season ended so late for them, they are still trying to get guys to recover from the grind. They don't start until St. Patrick's Day - I can't remember it ever starting this late before. I am not even sure they will use all 15 practices.
Looks like it's back on as a spring game with some minor tweaks

Thought it really interesting that at the end of the Student Appreciation Day, the QB's were all live. It seems to me that no decision has been made yet.

Lincoln isn't really in the running is he?

Has to be a good feeling knowing Ewers won't be sandbagging the offense for your Horns this year

just please no more helmet shots at him :(

I always thought that the reward for playing college ball was getting a free education, and if you're good enough, you play in the pros. Now, you can make millions and as an eighteen year old, train to be the most obnoxious person on earth. I see a lot of obnoxious types waiting for their chance. Cam Ward leaps to mind.

Nobody knows at this point. I really like LK, and honestly he should be starting somewhere this fall IMO. If it's at OSU, I'll be thrilled because Sayin is extremely talented so that means LK must be killing it.
