Stadium attire - black outs - white outs...

I always assumed when I see a perfect color-out that goes by sections that a shirt was placed on each seat. Don't think that gets the cost into the millions. For the A&M red/white/blue game in 2001 it was done by levels and each shirt was bought before the game for $5. I bought one of each, sat in the white section to get front row seats. You are right that people get loose with their wallet for special occasions like that.
When they do the checkerboard at Tennessee, they let it be known beforehand, and tell people if your in section a wear orange, in b wear white etc. It's really not difficult.

You’d need to give me a free Tshirt to participate.

Went to a maize out, wore my Amani Toomer jersey.
This is the EXACT same way I enticed Smitty to be at my wedding. I offered a free t-shirt and he of course wore his Amani Toomer jersey.

Do you all like this crap?

I could see Nebraska doing the top pic with Red and White.

What does something like that cost ??

How much are t-shirts where you come from?

For the record, those pictures aren't real.

This got me to thinking, and I can't really say for sure.
But if you spent $2 a shirt for 100,000 fans, that would be $200,000.

I think that's probably money well spent, to drive 'eyeballs' to the game, if only for a little while.

It wouldn't surprise me if I saw this more often, and I could see that top picture become reality.

I wore the Tshirt, underneath.

Plus, the Nike jersey went with my sandals.

I still have nightmares from UGA having a blackout game and Alabama was up 31-0 before anybody knew what was happening.

I don’t mind em, but if you’re gonna do em, you better win
Wow a black out? When was that? 1970? Considering Bama plays at Georgia once every 40 years or so I'm just spitballing.

Dude. Pure cringe attempt at humor. Facepalm yourself and come back with something more original than that.

Where did those pics come from? Has to be computer generated, as Michigan does Maize outs, but never all blue or stripes like that.

Just wear orange. #cheerjersey

Love it, visually satisfying

I think it's fantastic. I love it when there's a white out in Happy Valley. I've been to a white out game in person, and the energy and camaraderie and overall vibe is electric. It enhances the experience, it enhances the home field advantage, and there is precisely nothing wrong with it.

The only people that could have an "issue" with this are people who are negative about everything and hate life.
I remember Penn State "Whiting Out" Michigan in Happy Valley. All I could think is is ... This is F*cking Awesome - I hate this guys!!!! We got our asses kicked!!!!

yes computer generated
Figured -- The stripe idea isn't too bad, but it would be a nightmare to try and coordinate it at the Big House. Especially with how the stadium seating is.

White outs are cool. Black outs at night look awesome. All red is nice as well.

All yellow and/or blue looks like dogshit

Humor? Who's being funny?

Alabama has been to Athens, Georgia 8 times since 1972.

8

That's 50 years. You've hosted them 8 times.

I was close on my assumption that the "black out" was or could have, remember i was spitballing, been in the 70s cause damn. 8 times in 50 years you've hosted a conference rival.

That's just trash scheduling.
