yeah, just change the name to the Big 12

that would have seemed to be the most logical move. that's basically what the ACC did in 2005 (obviously w/o the name change)

I don't know.. I mean they still have that history with the Big 8, as does Texas with the SWC.. now they have new history with the BIG

obviously Nebraska still carries the history of being one of the premier teams of the Big 8. Same thing with Texas and SWC

my point/question was that it's always seemed odd that the Big 12, as a conference, has never carried the lineage of the Big 8.

Nebraska should've just stayed in the Big 12. Y'all had clout there. They really rode losing a Big 12 title game and not being able to sign so many partial qualifiers all the way to thinking they have a say in B1G.

Fuck ESPN and their bullshit. Saw today that Finebaum said Ohio State deserves a lot of credit for the B1G playing this season.

I don't fucking care who gets credit but don't have your talking heads bash Nebraska for stating that they want to play and wanting them kicked out of the league for it and then a month later suck Ohio State's dick for helping to get football back.

That's the thing..u wont ever get the amount you had back in 2008.. So i'm cool with Texas not knowing what to do with talent, as long as it gives me hope that someone will actually do something with it eventually (I hope).. more than knowing that no matter if a coach is nails, he just won't ever have the talent to do anything BIG with it.. feel me?
