I haven't done it in a long time, but I don't see anything wrong with it either.

I do think it's fucking ridiculous that NYT is putting it out there like some great foodie creation.

I should send them recipes of all the crazy shit I used to make when I was a teenager stoned out of my mind.

The peanuts are on the mush siide,but still are good......Its a southern thing,cause Ive sern them thru out Tennessee and Ga, from roadside markets to gas stations.......
I even bought a 64 oz can to put in the crockpot back in Il when I get home.......

Never knock it until you try it......

I'm born and bred in Alabama and boiled peanuts are a thing but they don't come close to roasted and you won't catch me eating boiled peanuts because they are gross. Pour a beer on them and make them soggy and you're just an idiot and can't blame that shit on the South.

I seen them sold thru out the south in gas stations and road side stands.....either cajun or plain.

And they reallyy are not that bad either......just a little messy,and it was not the only time I bought them when I was down there......
