I watch Michigan for the same reason you watch a 3 or 4 win Nebraska team. I'm a fan. Unlike you though, I'm not a fool. I know the limitations UM has and understand they have zero chance of being able to recruit with the like of Bama, Georgia or even Ohio State. Why? Because schools like Bama and Georgia AVERAGE multiple 5 star recruits EVERY YEAR from their back yard. They sign 4, 5, 6+ top 100 recruits from their own backyard. Guess who will NEVER be able to do that...................Nebraska. You've signed 2 five star recruits in 22 years.

But hey -- you are right -- Nebraska is simply a coach away. Nebraska will be the only team in all of college football with no in state talent and bringing in top 15-30 recruiting classes and be nationally elite, because hey, before the internet, before national high school camps, before advanced coach at the HS level, before strength and conditioning coaches at the HS level -- Nebraska could compete with the nationally elite do that. BREAKING NEWS -- All those things exist now. The days of having 5, 6, 7 walk ons or low ranked recruits who turn into NFL draft picks are over. That's why schools spend millions and millions on recruiting -- because recruits are closer to their ceiling than ever before -- little to no one slips thru the cracks.

COULD Nebraska reach the CFP? Absolutely. The stars would have to align, every bounce would have to go their way and they'd have to pray OSU wasn't waiting for them in the B1G CCG. It may happen again, but it will be a once every 20 years or so. There is zero chance they will be nationally elite in today's CFB unless they completely changed recruiting and went to a draft, which will never happen.
LOL.

Can you say it all...... one more time like the faggy bitch that you are?

Wish the BIG had tried to take Kansas instead of Nebraska.

Football would be the same, but this BIG tourney would be so awesome.

You can continue to ignore what is staring you in the face and blaming the coach -- I will continue to remind you I've been saying it for years, since before frost was hired. He is simply the latest scapegoat.

At some point you will grasp that CFB is a completely different game than 20-30 years ago and the biggest mistake NU made was leaving the Big 12.

Still waiting on you explaining how games can even be remotely close when the talent gap is so large.

Why play the games? Just give it to whoever has the #1 class. I am also still waiting on a real reason as to why you watch Michigan at all. The whole, 'I'm a fan' is nonsensical given your previous statements. So you're a fan of believing in a ceiling? If you already believe this nonsense, what sense does it make to watch any of the games? What point is there?

Keep spouting your nonsense and believing you hold some esoteric knowledge on the matter, but in reality you are a fool who isn't a real fan at all.

You play the games because these are still kids -- fans still want to believe in the astronomical hopes that they will pull off a miracle season. But anyone with two eyes and half a brain could pick 7-8 teams and the national champ for the next 10, the next 20 years will come from those teams 90% of the time. You may have an Auburn slip in there if they have an other worldly QB like Cam Newton or a Florida State with Jameis Winston. The rest of the past 15+ years is filled with the recruiting elite.

What you can't seem to grasp is IT IS NOT THE 80's AND 90's -- Everyone has the internet and no recruits slip thru the cracks. Schools can now talk with recruits with the click of a button. It is why, blue blood programs like ND (little in state talent, Michigan (some in state talent), OU (some in state talent), Nebraska (zero in state talent) all haven't won a national title in 20-30 years. At what point are you going to grasp this?

I will break it down for you. I will use Alabama. From 2018-2021 recruiting classes:
Alabama signed 15 five star recruits and 45 recruits ranked in the top 100
Nebraska signed 0 five star recruits and 3 recruits ranked in the top 100

Hell -- in 2021 alone -- Alabama signed 3 times the amount of 5 star recruits than Nebraska has signed over. the past 22 years. Let that sink in. Yet you think Nebraska is going to beat them and they are just a coach away?

If you'd like -- I could do Ohio State and show you why you are simply lucky to be in the B1G West, as you have a slight chance to be a little relevant and reach the B1G title game once in a while.

Wish the BIG had tried to take Kansas instead of Nebraska.

Football would be the same, but this BIG tourney would be so awesome.
But the women's volleyball tourney wouldn't be as strong -- if they have a B1G volleyball tourney :headscratch:

i wished they had just taken mizzu and their sore vaginas.. they were the ones who kicked all of this shit off
They would’ve been a better add also.

Just like Pitt and West Virginia.

Wisconsin is the only team that’s good, that I’m aware of.
Nebraska Women's Volleyball is, far and away, the best sport Nebraska offers and it isn't really close. They finished runner up for the national title in 2018 and 2021, and won the national title in 2015 and 2017.

I have a question for the Nebraska fans. If you could have Tom Osborne back as the Huskers coach (in his prime) but he had only the Nebraska talent that's been there for the past 2-3 years, what kind of success do you really think he would have? He'd have Adrian Martinez but no Tommy Frazier or Turner Gill. No Mike Rozier or any of the other former great players at Nebraska on offense or defense.....and so on. Just the talent that's been on the team through last season and playing in the Big 10.

not a NU fan but I tend to believe that Osborne wouldn't have wanted to coach in this era.. It's like Darrell Royal, man retired cause he saw how recruiting was already going and wanted no parts of that.

it's a different game now.. maybe they would have adjusted?

I agree. I'm sure even Switzer wouldn't want to put up with this shit storm because his success was built on making friends out of the players and these guys don't care about "friendship" as much as they do about being woke, rich and independent. It is what it is. I just want to know how the Nebraska fans think Osborne/Nebraska would be doing with their current talent level playing a Big 10 schedule.

I don't know how much they could have adjusted in today's college football. It is all about recruiting. By moving to the B1G and playing in the Midwest -- it only hurt Nebraska in trying to recruit elite talent in the West/Southwest. If a recruit wants to play in the Midwest (as Nebraska does now) -- Nebraska is down the list of Midwest teams to attend (ND, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State). And they have very little chance to pull an elite recruit from the states in the Midwest that has talent.

They have, by far, the worst chance of any blue blood of getting back to elite with how CFB recruiting is today. If you don't have a base of elite recruits in state -- you are going to be at an ENORMOUS disadvantage and there is no chance of making up the talent differential unless you have an otherworldly QB like Newton or Winston, but even those teams can recruit at a higher level than Nebraska can in today's CFB landscape because of their in state talent available to them.

I am going to try to give a non-bias opinion. I obviously favor one team in this list.

I think Nebraska has a better chance of getting back to winning 9-10 games, they just need to adopt the Wisconsin strategy and outdo Wisconsin at it.

However, Nebraska likely won't win a title anytime soon. No one in the Big, outside of Ohio State, tends to play for National Titles anymore.

Tennessee will struggled to get consistent but can always pull a 2010 Auburn or 2019 LSU and just get the right team with right talent to break through and win it all. I don't think Tennessee will have as many wins as Nebraska due to their schedules but I think they have a better shot at a title.

Neither looks like they are going to get there soon. I am just hoping Tennessee beats Florida and Pittsburgh along with the teams we beat in 2021 next year. That would be a successful season and would be a 9-3 finish. We could compete for #2 in the East next year.

Also why is this just Nebraska and Tennessee? Miami, Texas, and USC have been done for a while as well.

I hate to agree with you because I think there is some trolling effort against Nebraska but the B1G tends to struggle to produce great title contenders. All of the energy seems to be sapped up by Ohio State.

I think it is easier for Nebraska to win 9-10 games and finish in top 15 than Tennessee but will be harder to win a title.

maybe because those programs tend to recruit better and also are quick clear staffs when it's not working? Outside of Helton of course.

It's NOT coaching. NewPhoneWhoDis (a.k.a. TrustMeIAmRight) will tell you that. All coaches are Saban level. The recruiting services have been wrong for near a decade or even longer regarding USC, Texas, Miami, FSU, Florida, etc.

But that's all gonna change because beginning right now USC, Texas, Miami, FSU, and Florida have all "locked up" their talent for ever and ever, and ever.

That Solich never won a MAC title in 16 years, Callahan hasn't gotten another head coaching gig in 15 years, Pelini hasn't had a FBS head coaching gig in 8 years, Mike Riley is no longer a CFB head coach, and Frost is (4-8), (5-7), (3-5), (3-9) and last in the Big 10 West with average #20 recruiting classes is complete fucking coincidence.
