The ACC is fine. They have enough of a football product to compete and they are getting better. Plus they are still king of basketball and probably second in baseball.
The PAC needs to make some major moves to improve their network appeal and time zone issues.
I think the Big Ten might go after UNC and UVA -- both in that "academic" realm of things.
UNC and NC State are tied to the hip and are sibling universities in the University of North Carolina school system. Unless the ACC is in obvious peril (and I don't believe that would be the case unless FSU and Clemson decide to bolt), then you don't get UNC without NC State.Maybe . UNC leaving Duke and NC State doesn't seem plausible to me though .
I absolutely think UA and AU move to the East. The 12 team playoff model will allow for 2 teams from each division to get a nod.I think the East shits a brick if you propose sending both Auburn and Alabama into their division. For Auburn it’s no biggie because we play a tougher schedule already but I think Alabama bitches as well because they want recruiting paths into Texas.
I’m not opposed but it could be a fight.
Do you think this is actually happening?
You mean the sweetassed SEC OOC scheduling in return for losing your sweetassed conference schedule you currently play?I just want at that sweetassed scheduling boyeeeeeee!!!
CUPCAKES HERE WE COME!!!

There isn't a chance in hell the B1G takes WVU. They aren't AAU, they are ranked the 241st school, and there is no TV market. You couldn't ask for a worse fit.Baylor has a shot to get a B10 invite imo but only if they move quick. Coming off natty in bball it's the time to try and pair with KU and protect themselves. If they wait and then the B10 decides KU and WVU make more sense geographically Baylor is probably hosed
That's better suited to be an OOC grudge match, if it ever comes back.Would we get back the Texas/A&M Thanksgiving Day game???
The issue is that these other schools and leagues aren't going to ( or shouldn't be ) waiting around to see what happens
Obviously the B10 would rather have KU and ND but if you wait and then don't get ND then what ? If WVU is gone. Tech is gone. OKST is gone. Now what ?
B10 should be proactive here as should the other 8 teams in the B12
The revenue gap will close especially if this happens. ESPN will have locked up a shit ton of content and the FOX will have lost a shit ton so they bidding for content will bump all the other P5 coffers.ACC isn’t fine. Revenue is far behind conferences in their geographical region. You could see teams looking to jump ship if they can’t close the gap.
PAC would have those same problems except there aren’t any realistic options for PAC schools to leave. USC, Oregon, UCLA, Washington have nowhere to go.
First, divisions are already under attack with 14 teams. Now that the CC gets auto in to the CFP, the idea of having non-balanced divisions could be a problem. In the SEC, the argument is that the West is stronger than the East. It falls apart from a CC game aspect because the East has always at least had one good team to get to Atlanta. This is a bigger issue for the B1G where the West has put some less than optimal teams in when there were better no. 2 teams in the East. But, the idea is that you should have the 2 best in the CCG regardless of divisions.I saw 2 ideas. 1 was the pod system, but doesn’t do much for me.
The other was Texas, LSU, OU, A&M, MSU, Ole Miss, ark, and Mizzu in the west.. that seemed to make sense to me, though Mizzu is bit odd in there.. that pretty much keeps all historic rivals together
So you think Bama is going to give up the LSU game, the Ole Miss game, in roads to Texas recruiting and have to play Georgia and Florida every year? It could happen but they will fight it.I absolutely think UA and AU move to the East. The 12 team playoff model will allow for 2 teams from each division to get a nod.

I don’t see anyone jumping ship because where are they going to go? If the SEC got Clemson and FSU then game over but I don’t see that happening. The NC schools aren’t going anywhere as the Tobacco Road Mafia will shut that down.
Georgia Tech is the most likely school to make that jump. They won't have to deal with the state politics that persist in North Carolina and Virginia. The revenue gap is huge as it is. If the SEC adds Texas and Oklahoma, it will only grow.
The Big Ten is the conference to watch. They've already inquired about UVA, UNC and Georgia Tech. Ohio State wants a presence in the south for recruiting.
ACC should grab ND and UConn (or some hoops powerhouse). Done. ND is the sticking point there. Candidly, the ACC and SEC have the easiest path if 16 team super conferences is the goal. PAC might have it pretty easy as they will be able to pick from the left overs of the B12 and BYU/BSU and a few others. The B12 is toast. The B1G will have the toughest row to hoe due to their academic airs. The revenue gap will close especially if this happens. ESPN will have locked up a shit ton of content and the FOX will have lost a shit ton so they bidding for content will bump all the other P5 coffers.

Auburn v LSU really isn’t a thing. We only started playing them every year after we split into divisions. It can be sacrificed. Auburn cares more about picking TN and Florida back up and correcting stupidity.First, divisions are already under attack with 14 teams. Now that the CC gets auto in, the idea of having non-balanced divisions could be a problem. In the SEC, the argument is that the West is stronger than the East. Second, the idea that you only play teams once every 6 years is bad. TAMU came into the SEC in 2011, and we go to College Station for the first time in 2023, 12 years later. That's just wrong. I've seen to written that ideally you want a player who plays 4 years to get to play in every away stadium at least once.
Third, the SEC has some permanent rivalries that have to be preserved. UGA UF, UGA AU, UA UA, AU LSU, UT OU, UA UTjr, maybe UF LSU.
With all that in mind, if OU and UT come in, they will go to pods. No doubt. It will enable you to get the top 2 teams in the CCG every year, it will allow teams to play each other more often. The hard part will be point 3 above.
YOu are correct on that, but they deliver no TV market. No one in Atlanta cares about Tech.Georgia Tech is the most likely school to make that jump. They won't have to deal with the state politics that persist in North Carolina and Virginia.
