By the way, if this happens there are going to be some old Ark and Texas fans really happy. I saw one Pod system that had Texas with Arkansas, A&M, and OU. That is actually bringing back some historic rivalry games. I doubt there are many people in the board that actually experienced Texas/Ark rivalry in its heyday, but the stories paint it as an ugly hate filled rivalry

Won’t happen. Pods will have to be more balance and OU, Texas and aTm are three big draws.

OU and Texas are tied and I can see Arkansas there but I bet aTm ends up with LSU.

No idea how it ends up. Pod system or divisional system. The point being this is probably an exception to the rule, where it will actually bring back some historic rivalries

Everything I've seen it's UGA, UF, USCjr, Kentucky

We would also get UA, OU, UT, LSU, TAMU, AU every other year. That's nothing to complain about.

Basically something like

- POD, UA, OU, UT one year
- POD, AU, LSU, TAMU one year

Obviously leaving out the lesser schools we would play. I mean UF, Bama, Oklahoma, and Texas every other year works for me. UF, Auburn, LSU and TAMU every other year.

Yeah, I was going more for proximity in those cases, but I do think Boise would be a good pick up. BYU would at least add one more national title to the conference lol.

But yeah, Texas schools, for stronger holds in those recruiting grounds is more likely.

Yeah, I am not thinking in terms of basketball. The most basketball I watch is some March Madness here and there, just not my sport.

But I don't think there are too many 'good' options remaining. I would much rather prefer returning to the way things used to be. Things feel so out of control and ridiculous right now

I wouldn't call them a doormat. They won several B1G titles. They had a better program than either Kansas teams, Baylor, Iowa State, and until T Boone Pickens Oklahoma State. They were a mid-tier team, not bottom feeder.

I think you should. SEC already has 4 annual non conference rivalry games(UGA-GT, UF-FSU, UK-Louisville, SC-Clemson)
