na go back to page 119 you can the list. OK state was in.
If 64 then yeah we better not be left out. Just not sure what this is will all be. It’s very tense in Morgantown with some at the moment.I'd guess 64.
Gonna be more than 40. You can be sure of that.
Exactly right. I guess some tittie suckers must be easier on the nipples than other tittie suckers so they can stay and suck for years.I’m asking mainly because I can’t see teams like Rutgers, Oregon State, Washington State and BC included while Okie St, WVU, Texas Tech and Kansas St get excluded. Just my opinion though.

Let's assume some things here...and we all know what that gets us.Yeah I won't claim what RedAlert did. Idk what the number is, 40-50 just seemed reasonable at the time. Some rivalries are important for some, especailly in the B1G where every game seems like a rivalry. So with that in mind, I am inclined to agree with Red and think it will be larger, but I would not put it past the powers that be to limit it to traditional powers and revenues and cap it at 30 either.

Let's go with ra's 64 and assume the SEC is the 16 they have now and the B1G, ACC, PAC 12 pick up the scrubs to get to 16 each. We are set...except for one big elephant in the room. Don't you still see the SEC and B1G commanding much larger media deals than the ACC and PAC 12...just like they are now? That's why I think blackshirt's number will be it when they finally get around to pruning. Texas and OU started the pruning. The other big dogs will at some point IMO.
So you are thinking the "arms race" is over when this happens? The only reason I go to 64 is because the teams have to play someone. I'm assuming they won't be allowed to schedule FCS or the remaining G5's. They'll be limited to league peers.
Get too low a number and they'll have to play each other twice like in the NFL, no?
Mind you I'm thinking 1 league divided into regions with equal share among all 64 teams. There won't be economic disparity like we have now with Big 10/SEC compared to Big 12/PAC/ACC.
Just drop the SEC and add Cincinnati.at current 65 teams in power conferences and Notre Dame.
if its 50 who gets dropped?
So you are thinking the "arms race" is over when this happens?
I still see a huge difference between what teams bring to the table. One team is going to bring steak for everyone and another is going to only provide salad dressing. But, if that is okay with the steak providers, so be it.
So every "region" will have some NC States, Cals, K-States, BCs, Purdues, etc and the "big boys" won't mind subsidizing them? Isn't this what OU and Texas are fleeing from? @Goldbug @outofyourmindI do. One big league of 64 with equal share divided into 4 regions of 16 all under one media rights contract.

So, if they do this regionally, the group Texas and OU would consist of basically the old Big 12 plus four more?Yes.
The Big 12 was lagging economically. That's why TX/OU fled.
If the Big 12 had a conference network and similar media rights packages as the Big 10 or SEC then TX/OU wouldn't have fled.

So it would look something like Colorado, Kansas, K-State, Nebraska, Iowa State, Mizzou, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Baylor and add maybe Arkansas, TCU, LSU and Iowa to get to 16? That only fractionally looks any better than what OU and Texas are leaving right now IMO.
I think conferences will stabilize soon (couple of moves here and there), the new P4 will kick the NCAA to the curb and then basketball will become the big item of discussion. That's the way 'I' see it eventually. I also think we're at least a generation from seeing anything like that.
