Texpectations: Longhorn Superthread

we say that now.. But no one thought TCU defense would be as good as it was.. Looking at their schedule.. they play the better of the conference teams so who knows..

I just bet on a returning OL, WR room that has added 1 stud (AD), get another off an injury (Neyor) and has a 5 star (Cook) and another bluechip in Moore.. both which got a lot of run in spring.. Cook in particular. They have the best TE in the conference and one of the better ones in the nation in Sanders also returning.

RB is a question mark.. but i believe Brooks coming off his groin injury will be fine carrying the ball. He probably is the favorite to get a 1k yards rushing on this team for this season.

Quinn just needs to dot the eyes downfield because none of the teams they play can cover all 3 WRs. Last season they stacked the box, Bama got beat bad.. even kool-aide when they did that. Think they'll be playing 2 safeties over the top more which gives the young RBs a chance in RPOs

Quinn just has to stay healthy (something he hasn't been in a full season since....his sophomore season at SLC?
Yeah, no one thought TCU would be good…. IIRC they were picked 7th. I still just can’t see the conference being better or even as good as last year. jmo

clearly they were undervalued.. seems like Gary left a lot of good NFL talent based on this past draft there

Yep. And those transfers filled in some blanks.
who were the transfers from a year ago..? QJ, Duggan, Avila were already there.. I know Horton was a transfer but he was there when Gary will still coaching..

IIRC he brought an OL with him from SMU, a LB from Navy and a CB from one of the lesser Louisiana schools. All started. And a WR too… I think, but he didn’t start.

Marvin is going to be TERRIFIC in the NFL.. He's the best player of next year's draft.. he'll be a steal at 2

An interesting coincidence just occurred to me regarding Bijan wearing #7 for the Falcons... isn't he also left-handed?

he's so good..both hands look dominant

Only in the first half. In the second half, according to Sark, he’s not left handed, he’s no footed.

A night game in Tuscaloosa

I may be imagining it but I seem to recall seeing him toss a ball left handed once in a video clip from a practice. Plus, I think I'm figuring that a lot of thespians are left-handed :noidea:

Confirmed, but really this left-handed throw looks like it's from either a right-handed athlete or a Hollywood actor anyway

lol Hank South left Bama247 (who are also leaving 247) to go to Horns247... He already senses the powershift to TEXAS.. Saban will be coming next to be the special assistant to Coach Sark soon enough.. #HookEm

gonna be honest with y'all.. I had no idea about this kid..he's a '25 QB from Alabama.

So I was a bit surprised about this.. then as I read/watched reactions from the $9.95ers.. I learned that Sark didn't even offer any in state QB for that class..he was clearly on this kid.. So I'm thinking..is this going to be another 2 QB class? Then I watched his Hudl..

Holy Moly.. this kids angles on his releases... it's Mahomes like and he has a legitimate arm too.. He's getting a lot of Bryce comparisons because of his size.. maybe 6'0 and 180lbs?? lol

Not sure if it's my UT homerism..but this kid looks like a gem.. He will be doing the passing camps so I'm sure his ranking will either go up or down..but he did lead his HS team as a sophomore to a state title.. he's 15.

Which Longhorn team gets the first intra-conference SEC match-up? And when?
