Texpectations: Longhorn Superthread

Glad to see the Texas boosters have Sark or a short leash with a choke chain. At this rate we might have him back in Tuscaloosa before the second half of our home and home in 2023.
it's great to know that there are checks and balances for shit like this. It's not that stoops coached at ou.. because Texas had Norvell and Bouleware on staff before who came from ou. It's because Stoops is an asshole who players absolutely hated while he was coaching at ou. Like I said before, not even his own brother will have him on his staff.. on the field or as an analyst. Stoops has a terrible reputation in the state of Texas.. not because of UT, but because of the things he did at ou. Glad that Sark got checked on this and we ended up getting a current HC to leave his job and become a position coach down here instead.

BTW get ready for your back to back Ls at the hands of Texas.. #HookEm

How about just cutting all the Gawd damn politics out of sports and acting like everyone is entitled to their own opinions? The MAGA boys, the BLM dudes, everyone needs to just shut the F up and play ball.
That is the point. I was looking at it through the view of sales, not politics. Coaches are in sales. If you sell guns, feel free to wear a big belt buckle and a Maga hat. Point is know your customer. It had nothing to do with politics. As a business man, you should understand that as well as anyone. Don’t wear something or do something that can put you behind the 8 ball before you get a chance to make your pitch

Goldbug, what’s cheese burger mean?

By then, the only L that will happen at the hands of Texas will be us beating you like a rented mule with our Texas recruits...

Back in the early and mid 2000s.. Mack abslutley owned the state of Texas. So on Texags they would hype up some "underrated" 3 star all district players as being a better take than whichever 4 or 5 star Mack got at the same position. Some funny times back then..

Unfortunately for me, they are recruiting at a high clip right now.. Nothing like the Mack days, but those days are gone for anyone in the state

I don't know if they are gone, but I think if I were Texas, I would be happy with the Alabama's 2021 c;lass with 7 players who were ranked #1 at their position in the state. I'm sure Mack did that when he was pulling a dozen 4 stars or better a year for the better part of the decade.

Coaches Poll College Football Rankings: Big 12 Greatest Programs (collegefootballnews.com)

Which current Big 12 college football programs are the greatest of all-time according to the UPI and USA Today Coaches final polls?

Using a ranking system taking all the AP final college football polls and assigning 25 points to the national champion, 24 for the final No. 2 team, 23 for the No. 3 team on down, it’s Oklahoma in a massive blowout, and Texas owning the No. 2 spot, but Baylor was able to move up to the No. 4 spot this year.

One note on this – this is made up of current Big 12 programs and factoring in their histories. Obviously many of these programs weren’t in the Big 12 – there wasn’t even a Big 12 for most of the rankings – starting in 1950.

Again, this is based on the CFN formula. This isn’t any official ranking coming from USA TODAY or the Coaches Poll.
