Texpectations: Longhorn Superthread

Can't speak for Texas, but A&M is on the right track. Granted it would be a lot easier if during the entire existence of the CFB playoffs we only needed to win one somewhat difficult game to be granted the 4th seed and the honor of getting exposed on national TV...but not all of us can be so lucky. :beer2:
Wait how many Big 12 titles did you win when you were here? I can't remember. Because surely you were easily winning one somewhat difficult time during your stay right? The only games that stick in my memory are 77-0 and the Torrance Marshall interception.

I'm not sure Day is better from any standpoint other than there is a better shot at being a featured QB in the playoffs under Day than Sark right now.
There really aren’t a lot of QBs that have had long term success. Kids look at it more in terms of being drafted. Cassel is probably Sark’s biggest accomplishment. Guy was a back-up for him and threw for 17,508 yards in the NFL. Just 17,316 more yards than he had at USC. He had a long career and made good money. Sark was Carson Palmer’s QB coach also

With NIL now, we'll just buy a culture.. gonna have around 37 new players on this roster next spring/summer. It's a new day.
I look at simply as leveling the playing field. Jimbo came out and said that himself. A&M stole Georgia’s bag man for this cycle. Now Lanning poached Marshall Malchow to Oregon. Proving NIL hasn’t taken over yet

Barely 6 months old, and so much has come of it. Bag days as we know it are coming to an end

I don’t think it will ever go away, but it will get smaller. NIL is just a better way to do it. Lump sum to sign in a portal world is very risky. Actually paying them for college production obviously makes more business sense. That is outside of the risk that the NCAA wakes up and pulls it’s head out of its ass, which is probably a small chance

Thompson was not the problem. He should have been the QB next year.
We shall see if Sark’s plan to have a good team in 2025 pans out; let’s see if Sark survives until then.

Fatty Patty coming to coach in Austin next year?

I knew the derp derp 77-0 would come up.

How about the last time you won the big12 and then played A&M. You know the most recent meeting, not one from two decades ago?

Don't want to discuss it? Why not? Oh that's right, because you were the big12 champs and JFF ran a fucking train on you and your mothers.

And the last meeting, when you were the big12 champs? How did that go? Why do you want to ignore the last meeting in order to discuss ancient history?

Oh right. :dhd:

Lol you're hanging your hat on a single game dude. I guess since Kansas beat Texas that's make Kansas the much better program. Accept who you are and that OU is your daddy and move on down the road.

while he may not have been THE problem, him throwing INTs late in the game needing scores was. He always had trouble hitting the deep throws. Guy left points out on the field, and there is a reason why Worthy was actively recruiting Quinn to UT as soon as he hit the portal.

Has Charles burned all his UT gear yet?

He was terrible. He was 9th in QBR is the Big 12 and 9th in Ints per attempt. There is a reason 95% of Texas fans wanted Sark to hit the portal. There is also a reason the Worthy recruited Ewers hard. I tend to think the leading receiver recruiting a transfer QB is better evidence of the need at QB, than your cheer jersey

Best part of Casey transferring is getting rid of his Dad or as Orangebloods and Fat Ketch calls him the #1 source of information leaks of the team

He may have been 9th in QBR but there was no one worse in the B12 then Jared Doege overall. That dudes a joke.
