I also have reading comprehension problems. I read it wrong too.

Apologies. Voting will be made public as in when we are finished voting I will post the results for everyone to see.

I'm going to join Nos as a participant but not eligible to win, and become a judge. Tommy and I have won the most of these things, that means most of the guys here think we know something about it anyway. I think it'll solve the voting issues

Ok, I'm a little tired, need sleep for work tomorrow. Only half done with pitching - will get that done tomorrow.

Actually, I guess later today.

That's a lot of work. Im trying to make sure I understand what it is you are trying to show because if I am reading the numbers right, they are off. What are you trying to show?

That's a lot of work. Im trying to make sure I understand what it is you are trying to show because if I am reading the numbers right, they are off. What are you trying to show?

The average per season of career totals, top 5 seasons and top season. I really don't have time to get more complicated than that.

Example (Wade Boggs, last player I did, so his numbers are still in my spreadsheet) (numbers rounded to nearest whole number - but I didn't actually do this until the end)

Career:
136 G 510 AB 84 R 167 H 32 2B 3 3B 7 HR 56 RBI 1 SB 78 BB 41 SO

Top 5 (1985; 1989; 1987; 1988; 1986)
154 G 598 AB 113 R 213 H 45 2B 5 3B 10 HR 70 RBI 1 SB 108 BB 48 SO

Top 1 (1985)
161 G 587 AB 107 R 240 H 42 2B 3 3B 8 HR 78 RBI 2 SB 96 BB 61 SO

Total:
150 G 587 AB 101 R 207 H 40 2B 4 3B 8 HR 68 RBI 2 SB 94 BB 50 SO (.353/.442/.475/.917)

OBP is simplified to include just hits and walks due to not adding addition statistical points.

I don't know, looks like you're trying to find a narrative that fits your goal.

Or you're just dismissing anything that seems to not support your goal?

What exactly about the numbers are you objecting to?
Nothing, it's one way to interpret I guess. How bout this..Do another graph with total career HR's per team. Or HR per game. Or AB. Or per player average 162 games. Or top year only or top 3 only. Let's see how those match up with how you chose to portray it

Or, how about this, you do a graph showing career HRs per team, game, ab, 162 games, or however you want. I'm not here to be anyone's statistician. When you get the results you want then you can share them with everyone.

I'm sorry that you're unsatisfied that a team with Bonds and Mantle didn't perform better in HRs the way I did it. I mean, despite 3 500 HR guys, to my 0 - your team's career HRs only outpaces mine by 80 (I'm not taking the time to figure out everyone else's right now).

I tried to be fair. Balance long careers vs. short flashes. One hit wonders get credit for their great seasons, while long careers get credit for their longevity. But, if you think I came up with this to specifically make my team look better, that's not true. I finished up the offenses just before midnight my time last night and I thought I'd share my work with everyone.

If this makes my offense look good, that's just because my offense will look good statistically. I'd say my offense will look good if you ran their numbers through all the scenarios you posted. Since I spent the 3rd most on offense of anyone in the draft, I'd hope it'd look good.

Don't worry, this team won't win. This offense looks pretty much like every offense I put up - and it never garners enough support to get much done.
