Movie The Batman (2022)

It wasn't good and the whole "Martha" angle was dumb as absolute fuck, but it wasn't bad followed by that mean "really"s lol.

I just really hated those Snyderverse movies. Nothing redeeming about them to me. I hate mostly any movie that is shot pretty much entirely on blue screen and filled with just awful CGI. There are very few exceptions for me when it comes to that. I'd watch any other batman modern movie made before I watch Batman vs Superman again.

Yeah and it just didn't within the movie naturally. Earlier, in the funeral scene, Bruce overheard and stared at that white guy talking about how the rich are the problem. Instead of 'white privilege' they should have gone with 'class privilege' or classism. At least that would have fit within the feel of what the film had already established. Probably could have done without any of that altogether, but just sayin lol.

It wasn't just that. Bruce Wayne, Alfred and the orphaned kid were the only white people in the movie that didn't play some sort of villain role. The only minority that played anything close to a villain was the black guy at the start of the movie that was being inducted into some gang (filled with white people) but he never takes part in anything, seems hesistent and runs off.

Ok, everyone is entitled to their own opinion... but Batman and Robin over Batman V Superman?

I mean, bro, c'mon.

If I had to rank em right now, I suppose it would look like this...

The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight Rises
The Batman/Batman Begins
Batman V Superman
Batman Forever
Batman
Batman Returns
Batman & Robin

Of course, I find it difficult to put Batman V Superman in there with the others as the others are exclusively Batman and BVS is more of a JL prequel.

I think the most egrerious thing is Dark Knight Rises about both The Batman and Batman Begins.

That movie is mostly ludicrous.

It's not a bad movie. There was a lot of aspects about it that I liked. I just wish they actually closed it out by Batman dying. That would have been such an epic way to end such an all time great trilogy.

Also, setting up the elaborate bat signal on the bridge seems like a waste of time given the situation...

I finally went to see this movie and was underwhelmed. The movie was three hours long and probably the dullest Batman movie I've seen. A complete waste of time.

Saw this last night, did not realize it was a 3 hour long movie but damn I enjoyed it. A little slow in some places, but man give me a sequel

Watched it yesterday.
Pretty good.

Yes, very dark and gloomy, but we get to see Batman as a detective and not really as a super hero beating up everything in his path and using gadgets all over the place. There was a lot of puzzle solving and backstory that leads to some of the bigger reveals, so it is understandable that some folks will not like the intellectual part of this.

This was more of a Batman character study with a little Bruce Wayne thrown in, instead of the other way around.

I thought the final act was a bit lacking.

But, definitely worth a watch.

Not at the top like the Dark Knight nor as entertaining as Batman Returns, but it's up there.

Not to be pedantic, but how exactly does she know he's a billionaire at this point????
I mean even if you remove the rich element, he’s a powerful popular white male (hero).

Holy fuck that movie was long though. Movie was also meh.

Was also duped by someone saying Catwoman was hot in this.

Popular with who?
Not with a majority of the police force.

I'm just curious as to how right and left wing news media were handling the situation....

The city? They put a spotlight over the city with his symbol...

That was from Gordon, not the city.

If anything, Batman represents fear for most folks in the city.
