The College FB Playoff Thread…powered by butthurt

Lol, just saw another clip of Smart on Sportscenter--"It's a shame that these kids put so much into it and don't get to decide it on the field, it's in someone else's hands."

It was just decided on the field dude, your team lost...

Meh. FSU's in as an undefeated P5 conference champ.

I have zero doubt.
Everyone is saying yeah well this is the year they keep one out.

By all objective metrics it’s the year the SEC is shut out.

Next year they’ll have better odds of getting more teams in the playoff so I don’t want to hear the bitching.

Used to always tell my kids don’t put the game in the officials’ hands. Same rule applies here

FSU's done everything asked of them.

They can't deny them an opportunity to continue that.

They're in.

That fat idiot

It's just bizarre seeing the two SEC powerhouse coaches in this position, between Smart's entitled we should still be in take and Saban tooting the "we proved the doubters wrong" horn... lol

Welcome to the college football the rest of us know, you douchebags.

Team goes 13-0…wins their CCG and doesn’t get in? And the argument is how their season ended, and really it’s about an injury… why isn’t Alabamas shitty start factored in?
only legitimate knock on FSU is they don't have any top 10 wins. they do have three Top 25 wins, which traditionally is enough for a 12-1 team to make the CFB Playoff. FSU is 13-0, so this debate is weird.

has everything to do with the fact that Bama and UGA are in a batshit crazy football conference that generates a shit load of revenue for the sport, while FSU is in a conference that made the woeful decision to prioritize basketball forty years ago.

Waiting to see what happens, but this is probably going to be the weakest 4-team field in the CFP era.

You don't get taken to overtime by Kansas State, pull out a last minute win vs Houston and Wyoming, and lose to a scrub like Oklahoma and make the playoffs

My argument was always that power 5 conf teams all controlled their own destiny to get to the playoff. Once you lose a gm, you shouldn’t bitch about not getting in. It seems like my argument is dead because the committee doesn’t want to leave out the SEC

For those wanting the BCS formula

OSU 2nd

Sign me up!!
Well….that is a composite of up to 70 computer formulas which includes many that use questionable metrics. The BCS only had 6(?) of these formulas. I’ve followed the composite for years and have found many inconsistencies in it (some computers not updating regularly, extreme outliers being included, etc.) so a few grains of salt are needed when referencing it.

Sagarin has it the same top 2 (Mich-OSU) but the others are Bama and Georgia.

I'm aware. and looking at the old polls they used FSU fares better there.

We all know FSU doesn't stand much of a chance to win a game in the playoffs. So let's hope they make the right decision and leave them out.

it’s shocking that someone that high-profile could possibly be such a coward in front of so many people :L
