Movie The Flash (2023)

The Flash will be the 12th 14th 13th film of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), following The Batman Aquaman 2: Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom Shazam! 2: Fury of the Gods and preceding Shazam! 2: Fury of the Gods Aquaman 2: Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom Blue Beetle. Originally scheduled to be released Friday, July 1, 2022, the release date was actually then moved earlier to Friday, June 3, 2022. Update: delayed by covid-19 to Friday, November 4, 2022, and then delayed again to Friday, June 23, 2023, and then bumped up to Friday, June 16, 2023.

The film will be directed by Andy Muschietti, who directed the Stephen King-based movies It and It: Chapter 2.

It is rumored that the film will be based on the Flashpoint storyline and introduce the DC Multiverse to the DCEU.

Ezra Miller, who plays the titular character, got himself into some controversy when a cell phone video came out of him chokeslamming a female fan:

According to a source at the bar, the altercation took place after the individual, identified as Miller, was confronted by a group of eager fans, who were "quite pushy." Things then escalated, with Miller losing his temper at one woman in particular.

The video's original poster described witnessing the alleged assault, claiming Miller choked the woman "because he's a fucking psycho and spit on me and two other staff members after the fact multiple times."

Both Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck will reportedly return as Bruce Wayne / Batman in The Flash.

However, given that The Flash is going to be dealing with alternate timelines, these will likely be small, near-cameo roles similar to Ben Affleck's Batman role in Suicide Squad and the cameos by many characters in the Arrowverse's Crisis on Infinite Earths. Robert Pattinson is still going to be Batman moving forward.

At first I was a hard pass on this one as I hate how they are portraying Barry Allen in the DC Movie Universe but I have to admit they me interested if they are going to try and tie in the TV world, the Michael Keaton batman world, the Affleck batman world (where this Flash is) and they really need to go for the big one and bring in Nolan's Batman world as well. It would be incredibly hard to pull off but if they did then it would set the stage to write whatever story you wanted in whatever period.

Two Hawaii residents have filed for a temporary restraining order against Justice League star Ezra Miller, claiming that the actor harassed and threatened them.

The complaint claims that Miller "burst into the bedroom of the petitioner(s) and threatened" the alleged male victim by "saying 'I will bury you and your slut wife'" on Monday (28 March).

According to court records obtained by Associated Press, Miller is accused of stealing some of the alleged victims' personal belongings, including a wallet and passport.

On Monday (28 March), Miller was arrested in a Hawaiian karaoke bar in Hilo for disorderly conduct and harassment.

"Miller began yelling obscenities and at one point grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke and later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts," the police said. "The bar owner asked Miller to calm down several times to no avail."

The parents of an 18-year-old from North Dakota have obtained a protective order against The Flash star Ezra Miller, adding another scandal for the embattled actor to contend with.

Attorney and activist Chase Iron Eyes and his wife, Sara Jumping Eagle, petitioned the Standing Rock Sioux tribal court on a reservation in North Dakota Tuesday to issue an order of protection for their child, Tokata Iron Eyes.

They accuse the 29-year-old Justice League star of "psychologically manipulating, physically intimidating and endangering the safety and welfare of Tokata Iron Eyes," according to court documents obtained Thursday by The Times.

Tokata and Miller allegedly met at the Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota in 2016 when Tokata was 12 and Miller was 23.

Tokata’s parents said they allowed the teen to fly to London with Miller, along with other tribal members, for the Fantastic Beasts premiere in 2017. While there, Miller allegedly tried to sleep in the same bed as the then-14-year-old Tokata and was prevented from doing so by a chaperone who accompanied them on the trip, according to the petition.

I am not certain they will release it at this point. This guy has gotten beyond toxic. Might as well salvage what they can from the footage they have and either insert into another IP or recast ASAP and do whatever reshoots they need.

Maybe. Maybe not. Not sure we have ever seen someone destroy their rep so fast with a big movie about to be released.

Spacey had a movie in the can a few years ago, and that one was pulled and completely reshot with a replacement actor. It wasn’t a high budget film, though, granted.
