THE HATEFUL 8

lol.. top 10? ....

Here is the thing, you guys are in the biggest state for Football and are the flagship University and yet you are getting beat (not just once a year but regularly nearly ever season) by Baylor, TCU, and Texas Tech. It isn't just matchups either, they are better programs on a consistent basis winning more games and finishing higher in Big12 standings than Texas.

Tennessee doesn't have near the resources you guys have and we are playing against Alabama who has the GOAT at coach ever year, Florida who general has more talent and sits in a state that produces more talent, and Georgia who basically is in same boat as Florida every year. Yeah it is an excuse but we have an excuse unlike Texas. I could understand Texas losing to Oklahoma or Nebraska regularly, heck even Oklahoma State who has been an underrated top program every year, but you guys are losing to and getting beat by teams who don't even have top 40 recruiting classes in your own state. No excuse for that.

Yes -

They were 11th I believe, and with Oklahoma losing, they will move up into the top 10.

Not too terribly difficult to compute for most people.

We will move to 9 likely because Arkansas also lost. I don't think we are a true top 10 team but at this point, I am having a hard time making excuses for us not belonging there.

#10 also lost

Nah, OU will likely not drop out of the top 10. SEC Bias or something.

Once again, as forever, overrate your SEC teams. As I said two decades ado, and still true today: Top to bottom, the b12 is a tougher conference than SEC.
Even the team you’re trashing now, Texas: beat UGA in sugar, was a dropped open pass in the end zone from beating world beater lsu on their natty run, and was just one missed sack away from beating all world Bama two weeks ago.

Calm your SEC sycophancy.

I was making fun of Texas A&M a couple of weeks ago but I think Texas deserves all the heat. How do you keep getting owned by Baylor, Kansas, Iowa State, Texas Tech, etc. when they have a fraction of the $$$, resources, and recruits of your program.

By underachieving.

Nobody underachieves like tejas. NOBODY!!

So Baylor, Kansas, Iowa State, TCU, and Texas Tech are the same level as Alabama, Florida, and Georgia because you beat Georgia in a bowl game years ago? Is that your argument?

The vast middle of the b12 has been markedly better than the vast middle of the SEC for pretty much ever. With few exceptions

You bring up TCU and Baylor. You understand those teams were beating the shit out of teams for quite a while.

I’ll bring this up again: not too long ago, SIX teams in the SEC WEST alone were ranked in the TOP15 in week SEVEN.
THE top five or six of those teams lost their Bowls.

Besides being gifted rankings for no reason, there’s NO reason to think the SEC middle is better than the b12 middle … for two decades

How many titles does the Big12 have and how have these teams performed in games that matter?

In Basketball, you are correct.

Also I think you miss the entire point of my argument, there is no way teams like Baylor should have consistently better teams than Texas but yet they do. You should own your state not just on field but in recruiting, roster, etc. I can understand blimps here and there but not all-time. The reason you are leaving Big12 is because these teams don't have fanbase/resources to compete at high level.

I can understand Texas losing to Oklahoma or even Oklahoma State as they are competitive powers but constantly losing to in-state schools with a fraction of your fanbase, money, etc. Is ridiculous. And no, those programs are not better than the middle of the SEC which is made up of state institutes that are dominant players in their state.

“There’s no way some little catholic school in redneck northern Indiana should be so consistently good.”
“There’s no way some little private university in the hood of Los Angeles should be so consistently good.”

Do you even know how well funded, backed, and politically supported Baylor is?

Your takes are superficial and childish.

so if we instead had those losses vs lsu, bama, uga, ole miss it would look better? That's why i can't wait to go to the SEC where we can just say oh it's the SEC we are suppose to suck like TN
Oh you will have those losses!

If your team isn't Bama, LSU or Georgia...
