It was nice to see Nebraska show enough stamina to win a 4th quarter. Hopefully they can build off that, but we shall see.

Fuck Peacock. I was watching at a friends house and the screen kept freezing up. When it would unfreeze it would re-start at a couple plays that we'd already seen so we knew we weren't watching in 'real time'.

He has a neighbor that shoots off one mortar shell every time Nebraska scores and we were wondering why he shot two of them off after the score was 14-3.

We completely missed Barney's 25 yd TD run and Bullock's Pick 6. I had to look up the Gamecast play-by-play to figure out what was going on. We had to back out and reload Peacock twice. He's on fiber so it wasn't likely a speed issue.

As flag happy as the refs were, I'm surprised Barney didn't get hit with taunting the Purdue players (pointing) on his 25 yd TD run and have the TD nullified.
It's just stupid shit and I hope he got a talking to.

True, you may have not seen that our offensive lineman don’t do 3rd & 1 very well.

Finally watched the game (was busy Saturday and listened/followed on Twitter), did the BiG in 60 version.

Our run game was pitiful in first half outside of Barney. Dowdell has this odd way of just running himself into tackles, I like how he seeks contact but sometimes he just doesn't see the right place to run. I thought EJ was much better option. Did fine moving the ball but need to get those points, crappy ST as always.

D was solid, thankfully Card couldn't hit open guys though. Just need tighter coverage and more pressure on QB. Run D is still suspect, as I'll keep reiterating, just doesn't look good if Nash and Ty aren't both in there.

Looks like we get Gus for Indiana. Get ready for Haarberg’s name to be called when Butler makes a big play. Or “James Williams on to kick the extra point”.

Who and Who?
Gus Johnson of Big Noon Saturday. Jimari Butler , defensive end for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He shares the number 10 with Heinrich Haarberg.

My post was in reference to Gus constantly calling the name of the guy who shares the number of the guy actually made the play.

He knows the QB. Maybe a couple of other guys but other than that does zero research.

So, I went to the game Saturday. Great atmosphere, was loud imo, I was up in the cheap seats and lots of people yelling and making noise.

I was really worried in 1Q with the poor play of our run D, but white finally mixed up som D fronts and went big at times with four true DL and that threw Rutgers off and they tried to pass more. Just really nice adjustment, I still think we have issues behind Ty and Nash but at least now know we have some things to do to stop the run. I'm still disappointed in how far off our DBs are, just too easy to complete passes at times and lucky their QB wasn't great at hitting open guys.

Our O was trash. Dylan had a really off day. Getting to see the whole field from my seat, lots of open guys that he didn't see. Seemed to lock in on certain guys too quick and didn't come off fast enough. Our run game was hit and miss. They'd get something going then Satt would make some boneheaded play call. OL just isn't run blocking great and as I mentioned against ILL, dowdell just has this way of running into the tacklers. I don't recall any deep shots, I do think Rutgers were trying to prevent those and why the run game was there but we just don't stick with it. I just wanted to start a chant to run the damn ball but I'm not that kind of person. I was really thinking we should have maybe sat Dylan for a series and give Heinrich a series of read option and maybe a deep shot off of it but nope. Hopefully saving that for when we really need it.

ST was trash. Can't believe we got two punts blocked in one game. You'd think your protection would tighten up after the first one. The fake punt was good, I was surprised by how good of a throw it was. Wish he would have broken that for a TD.

I like the Gooooooo Biiiiiig Reeeed, GBR chant but we had this one kid in our section I just really wanted to tell him to stop. First his voice was weak so not many people heard him when he did it. Second, he was always doing it at bad times, like right after someone else did it or when we were on offense, he'd do it too late in the play clock and I just wanted to focus on the play.

The dropped TD pass (hit WR's shoulder pads) and the TD attempt at goal not called TD was the difference. It is nice to finally get the breaks to win one.

I’m guessing they ruled his forward progress stopped as he was moving laterally for a couple steps. That can’t be reversed. He definitely crossed once he started moving forward again.

Wake up, Fuckers!
Royally Pissed off today, some bastid stole my Husker banner last night. Went outside early AM and it was gone and there was an underground fiber company tag (like those yard companies use) put in the ground about 20’ in front of where my Husker banner was. Some fucker came and pulled the yard tags back out before 3pm.

I'm strugglin on my picks tomorrow, can NU lose by 6 or less in B-town?
