Nebraska Cornhuskers The Official 10000 posts for a Husker Conference Championship

Did Frost speak to media yesterday after game, or is the weekly presser later this week?
Both, he said it was like watching the same bad movie.

Frost admits to calling the offensive plays. I thought he said he was going to dial that back this year? And half the plays they were going to run had to be scrapped because Illinois ran an even defensive front. So what is that like 3 or 4 plays scrapped total? What the hell is Matt Lubick getting paid to do?

Lots of Twitter blowing up on SFs comment about "half the game plan out the window" when Illinois came out in even front instead of odd. Doesn't seem as bad listening to it here. Taken with earlier comments, they guessed wrong based on spring game tape and what Bielma typically runs. Given how poorly we handled it, I'm going to expect a lot of teams to throw in stuff like that all year.

I obviously don't know crap about coaching at this level, but just seems like something like that happens and our team gets flustered instead of playing fundamental football. I always thought there were rules in blocking schemes about who to block, so I don't quite understand how a different scheme can throw that much of a wrench into things. I remember in HS, me and my line buddies came up with a simple signal of who was blocking whom, thus making sure we were getting a hat on a hat. Now I do understand zone blocking doesn't work like that, but again that's where I come back to where I thought there were rules.

Thanks for bearing with my stupidity, I'll hang up now and listen.

I can remember T.O. Diagramming plays on the sidelines during games. Teams have been throwing new wrinkles at other teams for ages. Good coaches catch on and make adjustments on the fly or at halftime. I don’t know why blitzes and line stunts cause our O line so much trouble, it’s not like it hasn’t happened ever before.

I still get a kick out of the Huskers getting beat by the QB that lost his job to a second/third string QB transfer from Nebraska.

Ziggy got cut. Hope he lands somewhere.

Same with DiCap

Aaaaand Dedrick Mills

Meanwhile, Richie Incognito is headed into his 14th season. That dude is like 47

Great. Now our special teams are really fucked

Does it get worse than an 18 yard punt, a safety punt return, 2 missed extra points?

Illinois trails Texas San Antonio at half time.

I took very little away from that game against Fordham. I thought in the first quarter that Fordham looked like the better team, all the way down to their energy level. I don't have a lot of confidence in this weekend against Buffalo.

Hell, we lost to Illinois who just lost to Mary our Queen of Texas.

Yeah, it was 10-7 with 4 minutes to go in the 2nd Q.

Not much improvement on the Husker O-line. Basically Fordham (being the road team with a limited travel roster) eventually wore out.

That does not bode well for Big 10 play.

LOL. So back to 70% of all plays being swing passes at or behind the line-of-scrimmage?

It takes a special kind of stupid to think that they'd use a player that wasn't a part of Spring and Fall practices.

Not that they practice worth a shit anyway.

Oh my, I really been out of touch this past week. So TXSA > Huskers? Frost looks doomed.
