Which is better? Making the playoffs or making the playoffs? It's not like OSU was getting better under Urban by the end.Which is better? Beating Michigan or losing to Michigan?
Funny, back in 2017 and 2018 under Urban Meyer, OSU got throttled in games against clearly inferior teams. Can't really fault Day too much considering michigan, while still inferior, was obviously better than 2017 Iowa or 2018 Purdue, and Day didn't even lose as badly. Just like we had no reason to worry then, we don't now.Oh yeah? When was the last time Ohio State lost back to back games against Michigan? Go!
That's not quite a good metric. The B10 has gotten pretty drastically less competitive.Urban only made the playoff 2 times in 5 possible seasons.
Day has made it in 3/4
"worse"

Very true. The last time we saw OSU on the field, it was clear we're still among the nation's elite. Getting some consistency on the defensive coaching side will change a lot.Meyer had more than his fair share of flops.
Those Iowa/Purdue games
Completely mismanaging the 2015 team. The Big 10 title loss to Michigan State that knocked us out of the national title game was a comedy of coaching errors as well.

I'll bet that MFer has kicked a billion FGs over the past 7 months. At least he'd better have.

Short of a blocked kick, I don't know that I've ever seen a worse attempt with the game on the line.
It was heart-breaking, but nothing will beat the shear hilarity of Browns-Ravens back in 2015 when the game was tied and Baltimore not only blocked Cleveland's FG attempt, but returned it for a TD as time expired.Short of a blocked kick, I don't know that I've ever seen a worse attempt with the game on the line.

Dude drilled one from a mere three yards closer the previous drive but somehow went up to kick that one like it was from 60 yards. Ah well. I was expecting them to get blown out by Georgia. They gave em a hell of a game
I was expecting it to get blocked lol.
You can't rely on your kicker who never had to win games to go out there a nail a 50 yarder to win the biggest game of the year. We shoulda never been in that position. Hell Ruggles had NEVER made a 50+ yarder in a game in his whole damn career. (he's 0-5)

Yeah I just was holding out a little hope bc he hit that 48 yarder the drive before right down the center
