There’s no more divisions in the SEC

Well, I will say, we're back to the days where the team that just happens to get the easiest schedule in the B10 (missing out on whatever great teams there are that year) has good shot at backing into teh title game (ala the B10 west). There's so many teams in the conference now, there's a good shot that a team could miss out on playing the 2-3 best teams in the conference any given year.
Example: Ohio State next year plays Michigan at home, and Oregon/Penn State away. They miss Washington, UCLA and USC. Depending on how any given year plays out, teams are going to scoot into that game like they used to "share" titles prior to the divisions.
No one is going to be playing Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Washington, Penn State, USC in a single year. Every team is going to be played 2, 3, 4 of those teams.

What removing the divisions does is -- it eliminates teams like Iowa this year, Purdue last year, Iowa the year before, etc. from going to the CCG, just because they play in the division without any of the top teams in the B1G.

On top of those teams having to deal with PSU, OSU, UM, MSU -- they have to also get by Oregon, Washington, USC, UCLA.

My guess is -- over the next decade -- the B1G CCG will be played by 2 of these 8 teams. And honestly, I think you could remove MSU and UCLA and almost all them will be played by 2 of these 6 teams.

I don't think it does because of your first line. If, say, Ohio State and Oregon are the best teams in the B10 one season; Iowa (among others) has a really good shot at NOT playing them like they did in the B10 west. The big names are at a bit of a disadvantage because they're going to be purposefully scheduled to play each other as much as possible, and the other teams are going to be used as filler. Which is why Michigan plays them ALL next year. It's going to be very common for certain teams to play a very few number of the perpetually "good" teams in the B10, like they did in the B10 west. It's just going to rotate more among below average teams in the B10 and not just isolated to the ones in the old west division. (IE include Rutgers, Maryland, Indiana and Illinois ect).

You guys ain't all that. Ride the wave as long as you can.

Bitch, please.
We beat y’all’s ass fairly recently… and we were mediocre then.
We beat your champion this year.
And OU beat us this year.
Foh with your “SEC is elite” crap.
We disproved that over a decade ago when we sent TAMU over and they ran through you like an SEC cousin on an SEC cousin. Y’all’s Elite Defense made Johnny Clipboard a freshman Heisman winner.

Laughable.

If ONLY Colt McCoy hadn't gotten hurt

Nah. Every time they cash the check all will be right in the world.
I was more talking about the fans who don’t get a cut of that check and who gets fucked over by mega conferences and rivalries going away

That's kinda the point. We played Washington a couple years ago and they were poop. Now they're in the playoff. There's so many teams in the B10 and you're only going to play 9/18 schools any given year. Plenty of opportunity to miss out on playing the best teams in the league.

That may well be correct. But they said fuck the fans (and everything else) in order to get the cash.

Sir how did my Texas Longhorns get fucked over by Mega conferences? Our main rivals are either coming with us (ou) or already in the SEC (aggy).. hell we are even rekindling Arkansas with us being back..

Again, I like the setup.. I'm glad they are protecting some rivalries while ensuring we play everyone in a home and home within 4 years.

I, for one, don't give a fuck

It’s too many teams. Texas came out better than most, but for me, UGA won’t be playing Tennessee every year anymore and it’s gonna get worse with the ACC folds and the SEC takes on FSU and Clemson at a minimum

I’m just a UGA fan that likes to gamble at this point. Not really a fan of the sport of college football as a whole

I don't see how the fans are losing in any of this to be honest.

There’s no Pac anymore. Some fun rivalries are gone forever, and others won’t be played on a yearly basis, winning a conference got a lot harder for teams coming to the SEC/B1G, and Rutgers is in the same conference as USC

Sounds like a good year coming up. Looking forward to it.

Looking forward to UGA’s season. Rest of it, I just hope my bets are as good next year as they have been this year

Michigan will never be able to recruit at OSU's level -- so that is the wave we have to ride as long as possible is beating them.
