Three possible Trades for Jordan Love

I think if Watson suddenly said “I want to be in Chicago” they would trade anything and everything they could to get him just to win that headline. I don’t think there would be any limit put on usable resources.
I would laugh my ass off at Chicago if he went there.
Could have drafted him straight up but instead give away the farm to trade for him later, after trading up to get the guy they are replacing with Watson. How much draft capital would have been lost in all of these transaction?

Rodgers has more talent in his little finger than Love does in his whole body.
you being a packer fan. maybe you can answer me this question.
While everyone seems to be at the consensus that the packers should draft a WR in the 1st for Rodgers. Do you really think that will happen when the offense is working & the defense needs help? Seems to me the Packers would go defense 1st. What are your thoughts on this? On what they will do. Not should do.

The Packers stick to their draft board pretty tightly. While it seems like a reach/mistake right now that they went QB & RB in the first two rounds last year when WR was their greatest immediate need, they went QB, RB because those two players were at the top of their draft board when it was their turn to pick.

I expect this year to be a similar situation. The media & fans will think the Packers need to reach for a receiver - even if all of the Packers' top-rated receivers are already off their board when it's their turn to draft. And the media and fans will flip out again when they take a position other than WR in the first. The Packers will go with whoever is highest on their board when it's their turn.

I'm a Cowboys fan married to a Packers fan and living in the Green Bay area. The Packers have talent on defense but need an upgrade at Defensive Coordinator. They definitely need another impact WR as Davante Adams is the only one that Rodgers trusts at crunch time.

The fact is the Packers gave away a high draft pick to select a QB with a checkered college career in the first round. They could have drafted Patrick Queen or Tee Higgins in the first round without sacrificing a draft pick. They compounded their problems by drafting an H-back in the 3rd round who played in just two games before blowing out a knee. To say it was a good draft is ridiculous.

While I get what you are saying. they traded up to get Love. So there had to be a plan in place other than just following their draft board on that pick.
So what do you think they will draft in the 1st? Defense, WR, Other?

Who said it was a good draft?

Yeah, the Packers saw strong enough value in Love to move up. While I personally didn't at the time and still don't understand or agree with the move (I wanted them to go ILB with that pick and you can look back in old hoop history for proof of that) their scout team and management thought it appropriate. We'll see how good or bad that move really was in another couple years...

I think they're going to have their list. If there's a tie when it's their turn and WR is one of the ties, they probably go WR to keep Rodgers happy. If there's not a tie on that list, they go with whoever is at the top... Could be any non-special-teams position... And probably not QB this time...

Why the frick would they trade Love? They drafted him in the first round to have someone ready to go when Rodgers retires ( ie like him and Frave)

Whenever I see Packers articles written by Rob Demovsky, I throw them in the trash. The guy has no analytical ability and simply regurgitates whatever his wife tells him...

...I understand why you like him, though...
I don't like or dislike him but living in the Green Bay area I read lots of articles by him.
